Most of these online reviewers get paid for giving high scores any way. Atari has more money than Namco Bandai, which means more advertisement and more money to give online reviewers. Hence fourth, BL selling more than RB and getting higher scores.

I'm not sure online reviewers were bribed, but Burst Limit being licensed by Atari who advertised it more, obviously had something to do with it.mysticboy wrote:Most of these online reviewers get paid for giving high scores any way. That would explain their money issues...mysticboy wrote:Most of these online reviewers get paid for giving high scores any way. Yes, they payed for these mediocre scores.mysticboy wrote:Most of these online reviewers get paid for giving high scores any way. Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
What exactly are you gauging 'success' on?
I'm going on which one was more popular and which had the most lasting power and which got the most attention...and since the RB series is still getting worked on, to e the RB series if far more successful than the BL series...well the BL game.....since there ws only one made. 3D pwned 2D

Nope, instead they decided that they were gonna work on Street Fighter 4 and Sonic 4. As much as I love Dragon Ball and want a Burst Limit sequel, Dimps made the right decision financially.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:True, but it wasn't successful enough for Dimps to rush out an make a sequel ASAP.Makaioshin wrote: Doesn't change the fact that it was more successful than the first Raging Blast.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
Earlier you said Burst Limit failed while the first Raging Blast came out and succeeded. What I have said is that this is the opposite as Raging Blast was underwhelming in comparison to the previous 'next-gen' game critically(yeah, I don't care about video game critics and it wasn't by much...but still) and financially. Overall the Raging Blast franchise will earn more than the stand alone game Burst Limit but this does not change the fact that Burst Limit did do better than the first Raging Blast and was not a failure in comparison to it.LeprikanGT wrote:What exactly are you gauging 'success' on?

Scores depend on how much is paid.Makaioshin wrote: Yes, they payed for these mediocre scores.
Not all of them. It's usually major ones like IGN or Gamespot.Piccolo Daimaoh wrote: I'm not sure online reviewers were bribed, but Burst Limit being licensed by Atari who advertised it more, obviously had something to do with it.

It's common sense when you look at it. Think about how Madden gets virtually the same score every year. Somebody's getting paid under the table.Goku100xKamehameha wrote:How did you know all of this?mysticboy wrote:Scores depend on how much is paid.Makaioshin wrote: Yes, they payed for these mediocre scores. Not all of them. Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
Anyways, BACK to Raging Blast 2.....who of the never before seen characters are you most excited to play? For me it's Tarble. I LOVE his character design and although I think I may have already seen all his moves already, after that its Nexi then 14 then 15 then Dore then Hatchiyack,
It's so odd, I thought for sure he would have been the most exciting new player.

Hatchihyakku and Tarble are the only ones that really interest me though I'll give the other four a chance when the game comes out.

hatchiyack seems a lot slower than I thought he would be, especially his multiple ki shot move.

Something I just thought of.... we're getting characters that haven't been voiced in like 18 years.... I wonder if they will be using all the same voice actors.

Good point. I assume you mean the henchmen and androids? If nothing else, if they can't get the same VA's they could probably find people to get the voices close since its been so long since many people have head those voices. Hatchiyack doesn't talk right? [just grunts a lot or something?]

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
Sorry for bringing this subject again, but I need to take it off my chest:
From a business standpoint, if you look at the sales numbers, you see that the japanese market represents almost (or even more than) half of it! Obviously, if the japanese market is their largest, they're going to "please more" the market where they sell the most. If it's fair that they (in some way) ignore the other markets? Obviously not. Do I understand why they do it? Yes, I do.LeprikanGT wrote:From a business standpoint, they are going with the popular vote...and the popular vote will always make them the most money. I wouldn't mind Gt in the game; but I'd rather them complete Z first.

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Pre-Release Discussion
Oh thats easy then. I'm sure they could get someone to just make the grunts and fighting noises for him then when they DO dub the special, they would easily have a voice for him. I remember #15 sounding like a smooth tiny Kat Williamsy type person, I hope they keep that still.Kingdom Heartless wrote:I think he says like four words in the original special.LeprikanGT wrote:Good point.
