I can't believe I'm reading someone on here complain about the R1 Dragon Box being split into 7 sets as a bad idea. Yes, the boxes and DVD books are of a little higher quality on the R2 Dragon Box. But proportionally that set also cost a shit load more. Also if FUNimation had done only two boxes and priced them at $299.99 or something, then maybe we'd have got everything. But be real. Hardly anyone in the target market for these Dragon Boxes could afford to spend 300 in one shot on DVDs for a cartoon. Or suppose a youngster gets into DBZ and wants to watch the original version. Would your parents have spent that cash on you on the spot? Nope, it probably would have got put on your Christmas list and you'd be getting sat down to talk about "OK Jimmy, which do you want more the Dragon Box or a Playstation 3?"

Guess which one gets picked 9 out of 10 times and even that's a generous ratio.

Wow, the DragonBox has Zero bids so far, odd.

All those episodes are on the R1 Dboxes released so far. Do you wanna pay that much just for extras?

I'm probably not gonna get it after all. I got more important things to blow $500 on.

Yeah, I'd pay that much extra, if I could get all 5 at once.

Of course you would. Size matters and all that.

I'm pretty sure this same person was selling this for $5,000 a couple months back...

Oh well, I'll nab it around Christmas time if it still exists.

Auction is over and nobody won.

Next time it'll be mine!

Edit: It's been relisted for $459.99.

I'd buy it if it had all the Dubs in the world or at least the Spanish one.

Would buy this if I don't have the Dragon box vol 1-4 and I was rich.

Had to bail one of my relatives out of a jam, so I can't get it anymore. :(

I tried to convince the seller to reduce it down to $400, but he's relisted it as $429.99. Maybe he'll fold eventually.

Someone give it a good home. :)

The person listed it as R3 instead of R2.

Honestly, with the exception of the way the spine art is displayed on the DVD books themselves, I feel the layout of the domestic Dragon Boxes just looks better. Nothing against the original Dragon Boxes, of course, but the way the art is laid out just doesn't look all that great and the second volume looks like they just tried to cram as much character art on as possible without any sense of aesthetics.

I'm not saying the domestic Dragon Boxes are better in every way, no, just that there are some aspects of them I like better than the original boxes and there are aspects of the original boxes I like better than the domestic boxes.

I would've been happy with standard casing as long as the episodes were there. Everything we got that was emulating the original DBox is a very welcome bonus.

Spain's DBox is a good example of packaging I would've happily settled for.
