@TheBlackPaladin Well, thanks for answering me! I'm scared when I'm new in a place
Back on topic;
Anyone have a favorite Ayres Freeza moment yet? I particularly like his angry Freeza in Episode 36 and All of his 2nd Form Freeza performance so far.

Daizenshuu EX has Kaioh listed as "Dave Ward" for movie three! I'm so confused...! >_<
I feel like I should recognize these actors better... I should go watch more Ocean dubbed anime!! :O

I know I always thought it was Dave Ward because that's who Chris Psaros always claimed it was. Maybe that's how this spread...

If we know for sure that Don Brown voiced Mr. Satan in their dub than I'm pretty sure he also voiced Kaiô as the two sound the same when shouting.
Re: New Freeza Talkback
The voice for Freeza's third form in today's episode was pretty good. Pitched down even further from the 2nd form voice and no creepy lizard voice filter like the TV series dubbed. I like what they're doing here and just tweaking Ayers's voice a little bit instead of straight up altering it with their equipment. The voice is creepy and menacing enough on its own and just changing the pitch for the transformations has been great.

I don't know if I'm misunderstanding your wording, but the second form voice wasn't digitally pitched down at all. The second form voice was entirely Ayres deepening his own voice. The third form voice is the only digitally altered one.obiwan23s wrote:The voice for Freeza's third form in today's episode was pretty good. Re: New Freeza Talkback
You misunderstood his wording. He meant pitched down in general, not specifically referring to digital alteration. Ayres pitches his voice down while playing 2nd form Freeza, while the 3rd form seems like a digitally pitched down version of that.Metalwario64 wrote:I don't know if I'm misunderstanding your wording, but the second form voice wasn't digitally pitched down at all. It's confusing, but it just depends on what's pitching it down. Your own vocal chords or a digital device.
Re: New Freeza Talkback
That's nice. One thing I liked about the original singles over the season sets/(will probably be the same on the Dragonbox) was that Justin Cook's Buu voice was slightly pitched down to the point where it still sounded natural - and it sounds much better than it does on the season sets unaltered.
It appears a similar technique was used on Ayres' Freeza.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Re: New Freeza Talkback
The pitched down 3rd form works well enough, but I still think a variation on the lines Ayres first spoke in the Freeza role would've been perfect. Not to mention more in line with the Japanese version, but it's not a big deal.

I thought Ayres slipped up too many times in second form and used his first form voice. I really like his third form voice and hope he doesn't end up using his second form voice by mistake.

Agreed! It's really evil and deep sounding. That's the ideal Freeza voice. Gonna say it again, Ayres is perfect for Freeza.penguintruth wrote:I thought Ayres slipped up too many times in second form and used his first form voice. Re: New Freeza Talkback
Well, seeing as his third form voice is digitally created, I don't think he'll use his second form voice because they'll digitally correct it anyway if he does. From what Ayers said, he can go that low naturally, it's just a big stretch for him and limits his acting ability. Which I can understand. Try speaking in the lowest possible voice you can possibly muster...not a lot of variety to the way you can speak, is there? Not a lot of emotional variety, anyway.penguintruth wrote:I thought Ayres slipped up too many times in second form and used his first form voice. Voice was a big improvement after second transformation.....Now we all wait on edge to see how they did his final form....I think it'll be closer to his base form's voice...but a bit softer (Frieza? Softer? lol)

Indeed, when it's all said and done, I'm probably gonna like his 3rd form voice the least. To me it's the least unique of the lot so far.TheBlackPaladin wrote:

Ayers already said the final form voice is going to be the same as the first form voice.Zionist wrote:Voice was a big improvement after second transformation.....Now we all wait on edge to see how they did his final form....I think it'll be closer to his base form's voice...but a bit softer (Freeza? Didn't he say it's going to go higher again, but not quite as high as his first form voice? I vaguely recall reading/hearing that somewhere.obiwan23s wrote:Ayers already said the final form voice is going to be the same as the first form voice.Zionist wrote:Voice was a big improvement after second transformation.....Now we all wait on edge to see how they did his final form....I think it'll be closer to his base form's voice...but a bit softer (Freeza? No, Ayers said that the final form and Mecha Freeza voices are the high pitched base form voice.TheBlackPaladin wrote:Didn't he say it's going to go higher again, but not quite as high as his first form voice?
