Dragon Ball Heroes

Post by Thanos » Thu Nov 04, 2010 8:05 pm

Hey, I couldn't find a thread for discussion of the game, so here's one. Also, there's stuff to discuss now other than the short video and scant screenshots.

Here's a gameplay trailer:

Still utilizing those hideous Budokai visuals, I see... it begs the question why they haven't upgraded to at least the Burst Limit models.

It always annoys me that I can never play these.

Also, why have we not seen a perfect Budokai with all these damn models in?
It'd be a cheap cash-in that'd sell SO well.

I wish commercials were like that here in America. At least I know to apply that one thing directly to the forehead, whatever it is.

Looks really, really lame.
(Animation still looks better than anything Spike will ever put out though).

It's a good thing we're never going to see this type of post again, right?

I'm not going to make any promises. Talking down to me in this way is very rude and condescending. I trust you won't be talking down to me again in this fashion, Mr. Kaboom?

Good job posting off-topic.

The animations aren't anything special, I don't think. I guess some of the ones in Sparking! METEOR were pretty bad. Granted, at least the Budokai ones were consistent.

That's enough. If you are unable to take a step back and acknowledge that you are out of line when warned, then you have no place posting on this forum. The only types of posts I expect (and this goes for everyone) are friendly, accepting, and conversational.

If you are posting images in place of words or posting sarcastic and demeaning responses to your peers, you will be removed from this forum.

End of line.

That is completely fair. I would've done this (yes, perhaps my image post was out-of-line), however Kaboom came in here being rather rude and condescending in his warning. He was anything but civil. The post sardonically trying to get me to bow down to him and confirm that I won't do this again was what caused my negative response.

Negativity begets negativity. If he had been polite and simply gave me a friendly warning to begin with, this wouldn't have happened. I regret to have to say it, but if you want to keep things civil (which you have every right to do), please train your moderators so they don't come across as power-hungry jerks. Thanks.

I wonder what the reason for them including generic Saiyan characters is? Especially along side the main characters from DBZ... seems a bit odd and needless.

If I understand correctly, you posted jizz over the Dimps logo, and I see this as a trending feud regarding game types. You lost your right to normal moderation and I stand behind the response.

That's it. Move on with the actual discussion at hand.

Now I wonder if these three new characters will work their way into a largely released console game à la Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta and (Legendary) Super Saiyan 3 Broly.

I hope we continue to see more of these. The commercials themselves are well animated and being more removed from the arcade generation (money being an issue for a kid born in 1990, not to mention my living pretty far from an arcade) I find the cultural tradition pretty interesting.

To say so fruitlessly: "Make more awesome commercials for a product I'll never actually play!" :p

So whatever happened to that character art of Hero, Berserker, & Elite? I've been looking all over but I can't find them. Did they get taken down? Was there some sort of copyright claim?

What's more, they reused character models for those new Saiyan guys.

Why do you guys delete my post's? This board is way to opinionative of the owner and the mods. If they don't like it, it gets deleted.

I have no idea what post you are talking about, but if it's just a nonsense post (and coming from you, far too many are), we'll just delete it in our normal course of moderation. Posts with actual content do not get removed for any reason. If it's deleted, it's because you're posting bullshit and it's not welcome -- I don't know how to make it any clearer than that.

Substance stays. "lol" posts get removed. That's the end of it.

Aww man, it would be awesome, if they used modern technology instead of the same old.
Also did the announcer/the guy talking, mention someting about sento ryouku(battle power)?

I was honestly wondering the same thing....
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I would deffinantly aprreciate Spike incorperating these new guys into future games.

Could these games be the reason why Dimps hasnt been doing anything DBZ related lately? I mean besides working on Street Fighter 4 or Street Fighter x Tekken, who ever is developing these card based games are using Dimps' old engine and have been doing so for a number of years now since the first Carddass game. Is it possible that Dimps sold this company their DBZ development equipment? And just decided to call it quits after Infinte World since all they did was rip the new characters(Janemba,Bebi,Pan etc) straight from the arcade game.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

That all seems very complex for something you play while standing up at a mall.

Also all the 'new' games have just been barfing up 'MAKE SHITTY FANCHARACTERS'. I'm worried.
