Thanos before Thanos was cool.

I'm sorry, I was talking about human characters. I started the game 4 hours ago, so I assumed nobody would have more than 2 outfits.Thanos wrote:That's definitely false. The Goku and Kuririn that came from the pre-order bonus from Gamestop have the manga colour costumes. Aw yeah. I can't use it without selecting the custom character, though. And those are too new costumes(though they are available for everyone-yet). It's costume 8 for Goku(no symbol) and costume 4 for Kuririn(with Kame symbol).

Exactly. Fighting games, JRPGs and Shmups are actual game genres. Dragon Ball Simulators however, are not.Piccolo Daimao wrote:Well, I just think calling it "Dragon Ball simulator" is getting too in-depth (it's not like a flight simulator, which is an actual video game genre).

Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
How do I get the Ultimate zones? I beat all the battle zones, but not all 100%, is that what I need to do?
EDIT: I know someone asked about the other unlockable movies, and you get the Shenron and Porunga movies when you run out of wishes...and there is different options for things they say.
I assume the last one if the credits, which you get for completeing all the galaxy mode things....and then that is the final hidden trophy thats in the middle of the list.
EDIT, EDIT: The ending credits are AWESOME.

Eh, you think Burst Limit would be liked over Raging Blast, but whatever. Also, complexity? Isn't this a button masher like the Sparking games?mysticboy wrote:I like this review a lot better.

There are tons of branching "rush" combos to memorize per character, but you can usually button mash your way to victory and have it look cool.
Oh, and by the way. I picked the game up today. Me and by brothers have been playing nonstop since we got home. I really dig galaxy mode. Now at last, you cant blame the tedium on the story itself. The characters are nice too. Naturally I first unlocked Tarble. Then Hatchyack. Had to read the subtitles to my little brothers through the whole movie >:(.

GAAAAAAAH! Who the $%^&* decided to make the Raging Soul button the block button? I don't want to be in this craptastic form and I dont feel like resetting the match everytime that happens, there needs to be a way to back out of it besides letting it run out!!
On that note, who decided not to make the block button actually work for blocking??

I have everyone's story in Galaxy mode complete, except for all of Frieza's henchmen, and the Androids. I spent 12 hours straight getting this mode done and I think I have 8 more hours to go, it's tedious, but it doesn't seem to bother me much, for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, despite my initial decision to buy this game for Chritsmas at 100%, I guess I'll pass. I like it, and they've improved things, but their big mistake was to take out the story mode. This is the main reason why I buy a Dragon Ball game, relive the entire story from beginning to end in a new way with the last "updates" in technology, and unlock the characters only when they've appeared or been beaten in the story.
That being said, I like the series much, and if everything goes well (story mode back?), I'll buy the third one next year without a doubt, it's just one year to wait, and I had already skipped one Tenkaichi back then. That way, I'll feel the difference even more when jumping from the first to the third and they'll have corrected that main flaw and probably improved everything else a little while they're at it. Let's hope they keep reanimating stuff, like old movies or key scenes from the scenario (now that would be a way to attract people again to the story mode if there was like 30 minutes worth of brand new animation scattered over the most important scenes of the story)!

A lot of people are going to disagree with you. The main reason the story mode was taken out in Raging Blast 2 was because there were so many people who were bored of going through the same story each year. Plus, most of them past-B3 were a generic "fight-cutscene-fight" story mode, with no innovation like the Budokai 2 story mode which, although it had its flaws, was an original and fun way to play through the story with new twists.Cold Skin wrote:Unfortunately, despite my initial decision to buy this game for Chritsmas at 100%, I guess I'll pass. Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
Yes, I know, unfortunately everyone is like "we know the story, we don't want to be forced into it again"... I actually want to discover the series over and over again in new (better) ways. That's why I like Kai in the first place, and that's why I like doing it the story modes in Dragon Ball games. But if they don't make an effort to include the story mode or a brand new story for all I care, I can't get interested. I never buy a game without story in the first place, the story is the core of everything. Even in a fighting game like Tekken, I'm not interested if there's no ending scene at least (meaning I reject the Arcade versions). Fighting for the sake of fighting means nothing to me (I would have made a terrible Saiyan...). It's also why I'll never buy a car game, I want a story. There has to be rewards, and the reward I've always been looking for in each and every game was "after that sequence, you get the right to watch a nice cutscene and take a few step further into the story".Piccolo Daimao wrote:A lot of people are going to disagree with you. But it's true that I would like a revolutionnary story mode somehow, a story mode which amazes us like Budokai 1 did, where you can basically find the whole story while saying "wow, that new version's awesome, I have to watch it again!!". Burst Limit had that feel on the few real cutscenes there were, but we would need more cutscenes, more key moments being more beautiful than ever. Anyway, we'll see what they'll do with the next. If they're really tired of the same story and if fans are tired too (which seems to be the cases), then they can create new stories somehow, make an entire game made of short and long "what-ifs" (interesting ones for once, which could have really happened in the story, "what if Cell had absorbed C-18 first", "what if Vegeta had destroyed Cell immediately - what would they have done with C-18 cause Krilin, Vegeta and Trunks are all there", "what happened in the timeline where Cell never came", "what if Goku had not been tricked by Ginyu and therefore not incapacitated during Freezer's first forms", "what if the time chamber had been composed of Goku-Vegeta then Gohan-Trunks instead", all the twists non-taken in the original story we can imagine, all the "little somethings" that would have changed all the next events, possibly leading to new characters like Cell with C-18 absorbed instead of C-17 or Adult Gotenks and other stuff...).
Anyway, all I want is a story mode for the third episode, whether it's completely different from what we've seen so far or exactly the same. And they should always include a reanimated movie or a new movie or reanimated scenes from the original story. Give us something reanimated is a nice reward too. Given the massive backlash the Galaxy mode is getting in all reviews, they'll probably think of not doing that kind of stuff again!!

So whats the word on the EU manga color characters? First I want to know if they are alts or just special DLC characters and then I want to know if they are only in the Limited Edition version or can any game acquire them if they input the code?

I don't want to criticize you or anything, but really? A game has to have a story for you to buy it? What about Tetris? Or the Mario games that feature the same "Bowser-kidnaps-Peach-go-save-her" storyline? To me, video games shouldn't rely on stories unless they're RPGs or cutscene-heavy games like Call of Duty.Cold Skin wrote:Yes, I know, unfortunately everyone is like "we know the story, we don't want to be forced into it again"... But on-topic, I do wish that, if they decide to release another Dragon Ball game with a story mode, they try to make it original and new. Frankly, I don't care about flashy cutscenes. I liked the boardgame story mode. I liked the what-if storylines. I like having some new flavour in my story mode, not a boring "rinse-and-repeat" story mode we've seen a million times already.

Yeah, I think they had that same ending quote from Sparking! METEOR too. Eh, doesn't really bother me. I'm not going to play as her much anyway.goku the krump dancer wrote:Apparently Zangya is a fan of the Pussycat Dolls. Go to her voice samples to find out for yourselves.

Gamespot give both versions of RB2 a 5/10 for the people who did not know.

Kuririn has three costumes available in game. The fourth costume is the manga coloured outfit, which is at the moment only available for those who pre-ordered the game(I believe). I don't know about Tenshinhan and Yamucha, I haven't unlocked any costumes for them and don't know if you can. I know there is a manga coloured Yamucha which is also only available for certain people.Titan wrote:Are you saying that Kuririn has 4 different costumes? What about Yamcha and Tenshinhan?Makaioshin wrote:The Goku and Kuririn that came from the pre-order bonus from Gamestop have the manga colour costumes. Well Gamespot giving this game a low review is no shocking matter since they did give BT2 a lower rating then the first game.
