Yes, it's pretty straightforward. You won't have much difficulty learning the ins and outs of the gameplay and "deck"-building and what-not. The only thing you would really need translations for are the Mission Objectives, and there's plenty of online material to help with that. Not to mention a good handful of members right here on this forum (like yours truly) who own and have played the game.

I actually owned the Ultimate Stars but just throwing this out there.

You can get a patched version of the JUS rom that translates almost everything including all of the Manga Panels and its really well put together.

Make sure you own the game before downloading this though.
