Maybe if it were deeper. Tenshinhan's Japanese voice is a lot deeper and smoother than Burgmeier's Kurama voice.

Probably, yeah. My main point was that Tenshinhan's voice is considerably softer in Japanese, though.

I've noticed that since Tenshinhan's first lines in the Kai Dub. John doesn't seem to bring any energy to the role anymore. I feel his performance after Chaozu's death against Nappa was infinitly better in the Z Dub than in Kai. It's really like he's not trying anymore, which is a real shame because I've always loved his Tenshinhan voice.
Man, I really don't know what you're talking about. I went back to listen to his original performance and I've got to say his performance in Z Kai trumps it in every way possible. In the original he was just kind of yelling. In Z Kai there's fear and uncertainty in his voice. You can feel the pain he's feeling. The Kai version gives me goosebumps. It was a fantastic delivery.

Though, I also feel like the music was much more appropriate in Kai.
Yeah, gotta agree with Innagadadavida here, John's performance in Kai is a league above his Z performance, no contest. The desperation, the strain; it all just sounds much more pained and terrified.

I believe it's for some Thanksgiving themed marathons based on heroes. I'm sure they'll go back to weekly.

At night. That time is also a Eastern time, meaning those on the West Coast will be watching it at 6:05.

Yeah, it'd be pretty pointless to premier a brand new episode if everybody's off doing Thanksgiving stuff. Even today, people were leaving home to be with relatives.

We get a thrown Spirit Bomb and a Super Saiyan Transformation in the first episode. And then we all remember the 5 minute rule claim. Yea that happens in the second episode tonight. Looking forward to the Rawr during the the transformation, it was pretty damn epic in the Japanese Version with the echo of the Oozaru

I'm so stoked for each of those things! Can't wait to see them.

Hope both episodes will be streamed online though, since I do not have Nicktoons. :s

I'll be at work when they air. Can't wait to come home and see all the feedback!

I AM THE SUPER SAIYAN! SON GOKU

He even pronounces it correctly
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I was JUST about to post about that.

Brought tears of joy to my eyes.

Schemmel nailed that. Er, no pun intended.

That was beautiful...

I wish they hadn't changed Goku's "Hit me and see" into a generic, not very fitting of the moment "show me what you've got", which sounds like it was made so Nicktoons' trailers would sound "cooler", because I specifically remember them using that line in a trailer for Kai (so I'm hoping it's a random TV only line, but I'm not holding my breath). Though, keeping the Son in that scene, in addition to the delivery in said scene more than made up for it in my eyes.

At least "show me what you've got" is leagues above "YOU DIDN'T SAY PLEASE!!"

One change I actually like is the changing of "I'm truly angry!! FREEZA!!" into "Let's end this right here! RIGHT NOW!". I just think the former is a very awkward thing to say, and probably works better in Japanese than in English.
