I wish someone would tell me what's so bad about a magic wish-granting dragon? It can't be that he's a "Dragon God", because they don't even have to call him that. Is that kids might be frightened by him? But aren't kids going to be questioning why the series is called "Dragon Ball" when they don't even see a dragon? What the hell's going on?

Yea, they took that out of the Nicktoons version too. I don't know what's so bad about it. It's been in every TV version up to now.

I'm sure Nicktoons cut it for time reasons. It's not CW's fault on this one, they have to work with what they get from Nicktoons. Which is a shame, many of the things Nicktoons cut could have actually gotten by CW's censors.

They are jumping to 24 and 25 next week. Which means the week after that will be 26 and the premiere of 27. It won't be long until the Ginyu Force make their CW4kids debut! I'm looking forward to hearing Ginyu Force Rules on Toonzai.

Apparently, kids are going to start picking up other kids and throwing them.

Yet, they leave in the actual throwing part. We don't want kids holding others up by the stomach, do we? :P

We don't want kids throwing others either. If they cut out a shot of Goku holding up Nappa by the stomach, they might as well cut out every single instance of someone hitting another with a flash, and Shenlong from the entire series, making it "Dragon Ball Z", even though you don't see a dragon, and everyone have orange juice inside of them instead of blood and no-one ever dies, they just do a magic trick and disappear. Don't worry, kids, Nappa's not dead, he just did a vanishing trick! See, look at the pretty sparkles!

It would appear as though Naruto Shippuden (Disney XD) is now more lenient with edits than either versions of Kai.

Really now? From what I heard, it's just like the CW edits. No blood, kill to destroy, dead bodies moaning, flash hits. Seems more Y7-FV than the PG-V rating Disney XD gives it.

They censored the blood and the part where Naruto and Sasuke is holding their weapons to each other's neck on the 2nd OP, but they still keep the part where naked Sasuke is covered by snakes.... WTF?

Well, from the edits I've seen it could easily air on Toonzai with some tweaks.

Censorship inconsistency at its best.

I'm just throwing this out there...
Someone make a "When I was your age, we had Toonami not Toonzai" Fan Page on Facebook.

But seriously.. the Shenlong thing still boggles my mind.

Come to think of it, it shows Goku catching Nappa then immediately throwing him. Either there was something about Nappa being bent backwards against Goku's hand the censors didn't like, or it was a time thing.

That's weird. I heard Naruto specifically say "If Gaara dies....", as well as other references to death. I also saw blood trailing down Deidara's lip (Didn't appear to be edited) as well as red (could be interpreted as blood) markings on Sakura. Gaara wasn't moaning when he was "dead" nor did the people that (I'm guessing) Sakura and Lady Chiho fought and I'll take destroy over "hurt" or "defeat". Flash hits are hard to spot since they happen incredibly fast, I'll just have to take your word for it. They must have relaxed their editing.

Well, CW let Goku say "I'll die before I join you."

I wouldn't consider that the same, though. Goku simply said he'd rather die, Naruto Shippuden had Gaara either dead or about an inch from it and admitted as such. They even admitted the elder who sacrificed herself to save him was gone.

Shippuden airs at night on a cable channel with a TV-PG-V rating. Be it may Disney XD, they're going to be more lenient than the CW.
Still, the words die and dead can be said as long as it's not in a threatening matter. That's how Goku's line made it past CW, and how 4kids was able to sneak death on TMNT when it aired on Fox.
