You're not lying, that is one of the main fights of the second round I want to see. So I hope Trunks doesn't interefere.

It does seem a bit dumb that #16 would rather self-destruct to defeat Eleim then simply say he "forfeits". However perhaps #16's own self-preservation means nothing to him if it means helping Trunks win the tournament and get their wish. Presumably the all important wish is to help restore the Earth after the years of destruction brought about by #17 and #18. Still I was hoping the big guy would survive and prevail somehow. The whole self-destruct thing seems a bit unoriginal in light of what happened in the original story.

It's a stretch, but I can see Trunks going SSJ2 if #16 dies, for various reasons. It would be a homage to the original story and also give Trunks more of a chance against Vegeta come 2nd round.

Any sort of climax would feel somewhat cheap... There is no real reason for #16 to sacrifice himself just to win or tie in this match and he probably knew that he would probably lose from the start.

And aside from #16 wanting Eleim to show some humanity, there is also no reason for him not to give up immediately after he realized was trapped by Eleim.

So... Insisting in going on with the match and getting himself killed or blowing himself up would just feel stupid to me.

Also, having Trunks turn SSJ2 because of it would be really awkward... "OMG!! 16!!! NOOOOOOOO!!! ARGH!!! *turns SSJ2* "Uf... Uf... Uf... Well... Now I have to calm down or I'll be disqualified" *powers down ans quietly waits for his turn*
