Are we getting any new characters to the videogame series? Hell, I'll take woman with blonde hair and sunglasses or Farmer with a Shotgun.
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
This game is not being pushed back in North America. It's an October release. Japanese release is set for December, where the likes of some crummy Resident Evil spinoff, some glitchy Bethesda game, Sonic, Capcom Vs. the Milk Machine, Halo, Assassin's Creed, and Uncharted either won't be released that month, or will be entire non-factors. Out of that list, only Zelda will do anything remotely considered to be big numbers in Japan.Hellspawn28 wrote:Pushing back the game could be a good thing since it will give them time to finish the game for once. November and December are the major gaming year since we got the remake of Halo: CE, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Sonic Generations, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City coming out later this year. I have a feeling that this game is going to be over shadow by other major games.
The major games in December for the Japanese market off the top of my head are Final Fantasy XIII-2, and Mario Kart 7.

I could say that since Sonic Colors put Sega into Black that you'd be wrong with only Zelda being profitable but no one in Japan really cares about Sonic so my argument would be invalid since Japan is what your mentioning and not other countries getting the games. Also, isn't it inevitable that Ultimate Tenkaichi/Blast will be overshadowed. I'll be surprised it if it isn't over shadowed. If it isn't I will buy a hat and record my self trying to eat it. I promise you all that. No joke. I mean, Dragon Ball is such a small thing compared to those other games. Even I'm not gonna get Ultimate Tenkaichi until Christmas since it's basically going to be the same game I played for the last two years in a row and I picked those up on release date. We also have to put into consideration how much they expect this to sell. If it sells as expected, Bandai most likely won't care as long as it sold as expected.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:This game is not being pushed back in North America. It's an October release. That would be most fun.Pokewhiz7 wrote:Actually, I know it would never happen in a million years, but I really wish I could play as Lunch.

I doubt the character creater would make such things possible.

... The other night I had a dream in which I thought of a Sparking-style movelist for Giran. I only remember two of those attacks, though.

... His ultimate drew upon that filler episode with the dam. So not only did he and one of his buddies beat the opponent senseless, but they then got crushed by several tons of water. Which I'm assuming vanished immediately thereafter, since I doubt the game engine supported something as awesome as adding a river to an arena mid fight even in a dream.

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
I'm curious if Kai's popularity on NickToons will see an increase in sales this year. They'd gotten to episode 40 when Raging Blast 2 came out last year, but now they're at the Android/Cell arc and that's always been the most popular part of the series. They've also gone back to calling the games DBZ instead of just Dragon Ball, which might help sales because I'm sure some people said "Dragon Ball? Fuck that shit, why aren't they making Dragon Ball Z games anymore."
So basically you mentioned Sonic just so you could talk about Sonic. Thanks for the input. Also, holy run-on sentences Batman!ShadowDude112 wrote:I could say that since Sonic Colors put Sega into Black that you'd be wrong with only Zelda being profitable but no one in Japan really cares about Sonic so my argument would be invalid since Japan is what your mentioning and not other countries getting the games.Super Saiyan Prime wrote:This game is not being pushed back in North America. I like how you ignored the rest of the post. I just mentioned it to prove a point that Zelda isn't the only thing profitable, Japan or not. Stop trying to be witty since it's not working.Taku128 wrote:I'm curious if Kai's popularity on NickToons will see an increase in sales this year. And neither of you are being particularly polite, so take your histrionics elsewhere and get back to the subject at hand. Thanks!

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
Thanks for the heads up but the game still comes out the same days as Battlefield 3 in the US which has a lot of hype and more marketing then this game. While the Japanese are the main target audience, the games do make a good amount of money in the US as well since the past games before RB have earn the Greatest hits title on the PS2. Sadly I think this game is going to be overshadow by the other major games that I mention that comes out in the next few weeks after this game. This game is not being pushed back in North America. It's an October release.

That it is...personally I like both logos, but I'm sure the Japanese cover will ultimately blast ours out of the water.

Website updated as well: http://b.bngi-channel.jp/dba/information.html I'm assuming this is a preorder bonus?

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
Looks like it. It says "4cm"* under the picture of the Dragon Ball, so I'm guessing that's the diameter of it, possibly making it a lifesize version of the 4 star Dragon Ball?TheDevilsCorpse wrote: Website updated as well: http://b.bngi-channel.jp/dba/information.html I'm assuming this is a preorder bonus?
*4cm is roughly 1½ inch.

Japanese covers have always been not as boring as the western ones.

Ah, the Alpha and the Omega. As all life was created from Chaos...so shall it be DESTROYED!!!

No, the Japanese name never had a Z in it, but the English version still does.NECPS wrote:They dropped "Z" from tittle.

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
Nothing. The only news we've had on the game in about the last month or so is that Japanese finally picked a name and then proceeded to delay their release of the game... "Ultimate Blast" and December 8th.DNA wrote:Sorry guys, I haven't really accompanied the news of this game, what's new this time?
Though, I suppose we can expect new news in the next week or so I guess...
Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
I've seen some scans and info, so there's a character creation, any clue on the extension of that? The graphics look a bit better and the giants actually look like giants now. Did I forget anything?
