Pretty sure they can. You just have to obtain the skill.
Regardless of the poor character creation, I'll still be buying this game. Especially considering the last DBZ game I played was... Budokai 3, I believe.

Any word on if this special edition is coming to North America?

Cause these people will ALWAYS find somthin' to complain about. They have nothing else to look forward to in their lives so they find somthing to cry about no matter how good or bad it is. People are intitled to their opinions.... but in all honesty, people can have some real crap opinions.Animefreak1325 wrote:Woah! People complaining about the character creator. Why is it that you only show up to post in this thread to tell other people that their opinions are worthless and terrible?Shin_Chou_Senshi wrote:Cause these people will ALWAYS find somthin' to complain about. It looks like a comparison between a re-drawing and a screenshot from a low quality recording of 'Dragon Ball Kai' during its original broadcast. Not sure how it relates to 'Ultimate Tenkaichi' though.songohan619 wrote:What is this?

Both the cover art and the figurine look excellent. I hope that collector's edition comes down under as the RB2 one did.

I'd pre-order that thing like YESTERDAY if I knew it was coming to North America.

The same kind of lazy ad-hominem attack can be made against those who never complain about anything. God forbid there are aspects of a game people don't like, hindering their expectations of it and reducing their own incentive to buy it.Shin_Chou_Senshi wrote:Cause these people will ALWAYS find somthin' to complain about. I hope we will get that collection's edition but I doubt it at the same time. It appears that only major games in the US get some collections edition and I doubt this game has enough support to get a collections edition.

Europe has been getting a lot of special editions from bandai lately, but not much love for America, so I doubt we will get it, but it would be great if we did.

It's just...50% of the posts in this thread are complaints. People stating their opinion isn't bad, but it's always the same thing. I rarely see someone saying anything good about this game in this thread.Zephyr wrote:The same kind of lazy ad-hominem attack can be made against those who never complain about anything. Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
So I've recently been told about a comment Nostal/Treevax/etc. made on facebook:
Pretty much confirms that we'll only have Saiyans as Create-A-Characters, or at least for the Hero Mode, but likely for the whole thing. I suppose there might be a chance for a female gender option, but that seems to be looking slim as well...guess we only have male Saiyans with a couple different body sizes.Tony confirmed our friend Gregnas (from the Namco Bandai french Forum) that the "created character" will only be "saiyajin-like". we'll follow a new story, and the created character needs to "transform" in the middle of the adventure. It wouldn't have been possible with a Namekuseijin, for example.

Only Saiyans? Too bad...TheDevilsCorpse wrote:So I've recently been told about a comment Nostal/Treevax/etc. made on facebook:

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Read the comments on the page; It alleges that the re-drawn image is from an upcoming trailer of Ultimate Tenkaichi, possibly the intro movie of the game. They found it "from a video that is set on private on namco bandai EU channel".DragonBoxZTheMovies wrote:It looks like a comparison between a re-drawing and a screenshot from a low quality recording of 'Dragon Ball Kai' during its original broadcast. They've already shown characters without tails.mysticboy wrote:Hopefully we can just remove the tail.

The character with long hair and pale skin with Berserker Saiyan clothes also doesn't seem to have one. Anyway, I feel like this is a really stupid choice.

The dude in the trailer, right? He does have a tail.. and he's actually wearing Broly's outfit and not Berserker clothes.
