I just can't grasp how the publishers (or the institutions that throw the contracts at the devs, in this case Spike) can only give them 1 lousy years for each game. There have been so many improvements since Final Bout, but ALWAYS with steps backwards that were completely unnecessary and irrational.

I will buy UT nonetheless and I will have fun just with every other Dragonball game I have bought since I can count. But complaints will never cease to exist because that's life.
And I never said other wise. I think you have me confused with someone else.

If only kai had that level of animation.
The re-animated stuff is so beautiful. I really hope we'll see reanimations for every saga, but with thirty minutes, it might be a little limited.

Is it me, or are they using the same script from Z? Some of the lines are the same like when krillin dies.

Well, Ultimate Blast, you finally got my attention. I stopped playing these video games after Budokai 3. I got the last one just for that animated feature and played a little just to hear Tarble speak in English. 2-D animation is my weakness, I love seeing new animation of old scenes done right, and this I think, looks really good. They didn't take tremendous liberties with altering character designs, it almost looks traced but with more detail added.

I really, really hate to be one of those "this is what DBK should have looked like" people but, damn. This is what DBK should have looked like.

I was going to say the same thing but was afraid  Every new video that's released, I get more excited.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

So much agreed! I especially like how they altered it in a way so that there isn't that jarring art style discord. Parts were completely redrawn from scratch while others just seemed to be touched up and edited.
On hiatus.

Hey, so... since I like the animation so much, I made a screen shot gallery on my Flickr. Check it out here:

On a scale to 1 to 10 how excited are you for the game? I'm around 7.5/10 for me, I'm looking forward to it but I'm still keeping my expectations low, so I won't be let down.

On top of everything else, we'll be able to hear more of Ayres Freeza in the new cutscenes! :D

EDIT: I'm still about 7/10.

I have to agree, the new animation is gorgeous, even thought it's a bit rushed-looking.

Man, I hope Hisada and Tate got to do key animation, but it was probably all Wasted Wisher and friends down at TAP.

Honestly, one month ago it was 10/10 for me, but right now I think it's around 7-8/10.

From the looks of it the story mode will be worth playing. Which really does excite me about the game quite a bit! :)
I really hope they do it right this time around! They have to though. They've had way too many opportunities to do so already and missed them.
Oh, and I do hope there will be a trailer showcasing the Boo and GT sagas sometime soon as well. I don't want to be playing a DBZ game with a good story mode only half-way through. I already did that with Burst Limit, so don't screw it up this time, please!

Guys, we already have a Buu Arc boss mission and Super Saiyan 4 aura item. They're saving it for the game or may just be making another trailer.
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

Yeah we know but it would be good to see some SSJ4 before the game comes out so we can already see if they look good (fur-wise) or suck. Disappointment would be lesser now.

I'm about 8/10 excited for this game. I just hope to God they don't have those fight's where you die with 1 hit and it's all over that sucked. That really dragged the crap out of the game in Raging Blast 2.

Is Bebi Vegeta Oozaru going to be the only GT boss? I hope we will see Rage Shenron and Naturon Shenron as bosses soon.

Those battles were the shittiest most pointless crap I've ever played. Especially cuz you could "cheat" your way through most of them via items.

I had no idea how to use those items  I just picked Nappa and flew into the sky, and kept blowing them up. Let's just hope that we don't get into that situation this time.

0/0

No expectations, taking what is given to me.

The new story mode trailer was great but how come it stopped at the Cell arc?

What about buu and GT?
