Never understood the, "let's save these group of characters for the sequel" deal.

Remember in the first Sparking game when SSj4 Goku, SSj4 Vegeta, Bebi Vegeta and Super 17 where the only GT characters in the game then they saved the other characters for the sequel.
As others have said, there is no currently planned sequel. This is Spike's last game before their contract runs out, and Namdai renewing it may actually depend on the success of this game, so that mentality would be batshit crazy to be honest. They are already pulling out all the stops compared to their previous efforts: roaming Story Mode, reanimated series footage, Create-A-Character, CAC Hero Mode, boss battles, graphics that are less hideous than RB2, battle damage on characters that used to only get bruises, planet destruction, better stage destruction, "improved combat", etc. So why would they give us only two GT characters, one playable and one boss? That would severely piss off the GT fans they are trying to buy back...

Just like Patient-mental briefly pointed out. It's about the money they can make in the long run by milking the franchise to death. They probably very well know that fans would love to have a complete game with everything from the previous games combined. But no they are giving us "half-assed" and incomplete attempts over years moving in circles with additions and withdrawals. Apparently they make enough money to be able to continue this cycle.

Look! Someone who actually knows how to play!

The look reminds me of Super DBZ. I am liking the combos here.

Finally some new camera angles and combos. This looked WAY better than before, although the sudden and abrupt camera angle switches are a little confusing but I think this is a matter of adapting to them.
I just hope these good looking combos are not just because of the storymode and can be pulled off in versus mode as well.

Apart from that what I am severly disliking is the hair color of SSJ. Man it looks way too dark, like a bunch of green bananas.

I think it's like that because the stage is dark.

WHOA. That was seriously epic. The progressive battle-damaged clothes on Goku, the cinematic scenes that didn't seem out of place, and the way you're able to decide how to handle enemy supers. God, I reallly wish I had a PS3 right now.

Yeah probably but here the stage is bright and their hair is still like that.

I really wish the battlefield looked like the anime kinda like when they fought on namek.
Volcano's everywhere, Lava floor, ect,
I am still getting this game, But i just wish they would put more effort into stuff like that.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

The bare minimum I expect for Ultimate Tenkaichi is:
SS4 Goku, SS4 Vegeta, SS4 Gogeta, Super Bebi Vegeta 2, Super 17, Yi Xing Long (Base, Super)

The bare minimum I would be happy with:
SS4 Goku, SS4 Vegeta, SS4 Gogeta, Pan, Uub (Base, Buu Merger), Bebi Vegeta ("Base", Super, Super 2), Super 17, Si Xing Long, San Xing Long, Yi Xing Long (Base, Super)

What I'd like for the game:
SS4 Goku, SS4 Vegeta, SS4 Gogeta, Adult Goten (Base, SS), Adult Trunks (Base, SS), Pan, Uub (Base, Buu Merger), Redict, Rilld (Base, Sigma, Metal), Bebi (Kid, Adult), Bebi Vegeta ("Base", Super, Super 2), Super 17, Si Xing Long, San Xing Long, Yi Xing Long (Base, Super)

Interesting list:

FOR ME:

The Bare minimum i expect for Ultimate Tenkaichi:

With every video I see the gameplay appears more and more convoluted and ridiculous.

I kind of agree but I think I'm figuring it out now. A lot of these screen commands are just spelling out what you need to do in order to counter your opponents attacks. You know the times when you're sent flying off into the distance and "CIRCLE,X,SQUARE,TRIANGLE" flashes on the screen? It's like that just for a lot more things now. Like the recovery signal it doesn't appear on your screen when the CPU has to do it. In short this is just making it a LOT easier for people to play and look cool without having to learn the general feel and movements from 3 Tenkaichi and 2 Raging Blast games. There's that and then a lot of common shit is REALLY cinematic now so it just looks more complex.

The option of having multiple options to counter supers is SO nostalgic of the SNES fighting games. That alone is making me excited. (Is this how you buy me off? I guess all a game has to do is pray on my Dragon Ball nostalgia to win me over ;_;)

I kinda agree with you. But I'm gonna play it first before i judge to heavy :D

Edit - I just thought of something :D What if you could fight more than 1 person or even 2 people at the same time :D Now that would be cool

That would be like Tenkaichi: Tag Team for the PSP and if I recall correctly they said in the interview there won't be something like that in the game.

I guess they could add more DLC characters since there won't be a sequel to this game. I hope we will see more soon at the Tokyo game show. I still hope to see King Cold in the game.
