False. My friend had the dub-only Broly dvd; I borrowed it only to be disappointed awhile back.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Yeah, they released the movies on DVD edited. They stopped after Bojack though.

I always found it odd that they put "edited" right on the cover. I mean, if I bought a movie and it said "edited version" I'd think I'm missing out on stuff (which, I guess they are...) but why not put "TV Version" or something like that? Just seems really odd to me.

When I was a kid and I bought my first DBZ DVD, it was Super Android 13 (Edited Version). As a kid, I had no idea what edited was in terms of anime. I just saw a shiny pointy word bubble and thought it was a special release. So unless it's just me as a kid who didn't know what edited meant, then I think that bubble was geared more towards the parents buying the DVD.
My Dragon Ball AMV's:
Pain into Power - Gohan Tribute - Best Character Profile at AnimeNext
The Dragon Ball Life - Original DB only AMV - Coordinators Choice at Anime Conji
When I See You Again [NEW!!!] - Goku & Krillin AMV - Best Drama at Otakon

Ah. Well, thanks for that insight from a kids point of view. I was always curious about that.

Were those edited dvds even edited?

I recall the edited Ginyu VHS tapes still had blood.

Super Android 13 had a few things edited out. Such as the famous punch in the balls Goku gets from Android 13. I never knew that existed until I grew up and bought the uncut version. I think I recall Goku's punch at the end to kill him was cut short too. The line Trunks says, "You Red Ribbon Redneck." was still kept in the edited version. Which I thought was wierd. As a kid I was like, "Daaaaang! No Waaaay! Trunks went there!"

Yea, blood was only edited a little. I think it was OK as long as it wasn't dripping or squirting or... something like that...

As far as I know the edited TV Series tapes are the versions that aired on Toonami.

Actually, Movie 10 was the last edited movie FUNimation released:

(Unless you were talking about DVD only, since they only released the edited version of Movie 10 on VHS...)

After seeing the Broly movie, he seems all hype from his fans.

Also, lol on "The Dub of the Dead" being a song title.

I don't believe my ears, the nicktoons Fusion Reborn version kept in the line from one the ogres "...let's try to keep hell beautiful" o.O
...and again with King Yemma "...and the gate of hell will be left wide open!"

So far, the movie's looking pretty unedited, much to my surprise.

I did noticed a small amount of blood fly out from Aqua after Paikuhan punched him early on (which is usually a TV edit), but I just let it pass thinking it was either a slip up, or that nicktoons was just being lenient with the violence similarly to the Broly movie.

Yeah, I don't think Funimation put much effort into editing Movie 12 for TV, because by 2006, FUNi stopped making edited versions entirely. They only cut out the Hitler scenes and left it at that.
