Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
Will Bardock be a playable character in this game? I'm so glad i pre-ordered this game

The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Is there any evidence yet that the Japanese BGM will exist within the US release of the game?

Has Funimation confirmed they will dub the cutscenes yet?

Good question. I hated movie not been dubbed in 2 as it became something friends wouldn't watch as some don't really like DB that much but if dubbed will watch with friends.

Yeah i didnt understand why they didnt dub the movie in RB2.
I mean they had the characters voices in english so how hard would of it been just to get them to do the movie aswell??

As I'm not fan of the US domestic version, I also don't understand them to not dub the movie.
I dunno, but will it be hard to make it with switchable dub tracks? Or simply laziness.....
I think that Hachihiyaku got quite interesting voice in english, making him more demonic (still like the Jap. more)
and I was quite curious about him in the movie dub.

Waiting for more info about the US/EU version, but from what I know about the official sources statement in Europe, we won't get any Kikuchi in-game ever.Kendamu wrote:Is there any evidence yet that the Japanese BGM will exist within the US release of the game?

Yep, not to mention I think the movie was made after FUNimation finished dubbing the game.

But it can't be that hard, the money is the only issue. Dub a 20 minute episode can take max. time of one week with everything.

As they mentioned above, they did not have the rights to it.MCDaveG wrote:But it can't be that hard, the money is the only issue. Dub a 20 minute episode can take max. time of one week with everything.
Personally, I wouldn't mind a DVD release that pairs that movie/special up with the "Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!!" special. Hopefully dubbed.
l suppose I'd have to get used to the new Kai voices (I didn't watch Kai or play RB2), but I can get over that "hurdle" quickly.

That doesn't make sense to me.
*They didn't have the rights to dub the movie*
They had the rights to give it subs, and release it on xbox360/ps3 In America. But I'd say one of these day's, we will get both Yo the Return of Son Goku and Friends on dvd. And the remake of Plan to Eradicate The Saiyans. But it's gonna be awhile lol

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
FUNimation doesn't do that. Namco-Bandai has the rights. They work with FUNimation to use the FUNimation dub cast for creating an English cast option for the international release of the game. That is all. If Bandai doesn't want to dub the cut scenes...they don't have to. It's less money for them to spend on an already cheap release.samuraix123 wrote:That doesn't make sense to me.

I guess that cleared that up for me
But I hope they do dub those cut-scenes

I don't see a reason not to do that, since it would be odd for a game to have dubbed fights but as soon as the fight is over it go's to a subbed cut scene.samuraix123 wrote:I guess that cleared that up for meBut I hope they do dub those cut-scenes

Final Bout's North American release went from dubbed character select screen to original Japanese in-game voices to after-battle dubbed taunts and closing remarksdragonpiece wrote:I don't see a reason not to do that, since it would be odd for a game to have dubbed fights but as soon as the fight is over it go's to a subbed cut scene.

Re: DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)
I watched the most recent trailer for this game. It has shown some beautiful animation for cutscenes, which is said to be over 30 minutes in total, some of scenes were already included in previous games, but in 3D form. For the comparsion's sake, I have listed all cutscenes in certain arcs in Infinite World, all of them were less than 20 minutes.
Infinite World cutscenes
Saiyan arc- 4:09 mins
-Raditz's arrival
-Raditz death
-Vegeta finishes his comrade off
-Vegeta's "lower class vs. super elite" talk
Vegeta's defeat
Freeza arc- 4:36 mins
-Vegeta's death
-Goku launches a Genki Dama
-Goku becomes SSJ
-Freeza's final attack/Goku's angry Ki-blast
Cell arc- 4:00 mins
-Vegeta powers up into SSJ grade 2.
-Cell's completion
-Gohan becomes SSJ2
-Cell's death
Majin Buu arc- 6:29 mins
-Goku vs. Majin Vegeta
Goku conversates with Vegeta
-Vegeta's atonement, Buu revives
-The death of Kid Buu
Confirmed cutscenes for Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi
Bardock special
-Bardock vs Freeza
-Goku meets Gohan
Saiyan arc
-Piccolo's sacrifice
-Vegeta turns into Oozaru
Freeza arc
-Goku's arrival
-Freeza's wrath
-Goku becomes SSJ
Cell arc
-Gohan becomes SSJ2
-Goku's sacrifice
Majin Buu arc
-The heroes' celebration
As you may already saw, a few previous cutscenes were not included in this games in animation form, most notably Goku's Genki Dama against Freeza as well as Kid Buu's death. Now as I already hve mentioned above that these old cutscenes were less than 20 minutes, it will be interesting to see what scenes will be added.
