Is it just me, or in that fourth panel, does Toma look really...un-Toma? He looks like an old man.

I think they should just go to Freeza and ask him "please don't blow up my planet."

...Okay, sorry. Couldn't help myself.

What did Bardock mean when he said "it's not the way to go"? Is it because he saw that premonition of Freeza generating his attack, meaning that even if he convinced King Vegeta into believing Freeza's betrayal, the Saiyans and their planet would still be destroyed anyway, therefore meaning that Bardock would have to take the throne from King Vegeta and lead a rebellion against Freeza himself? If so, that's a pretty weird way of explaining it.

Either way, I agree that this is an interesting twist. A little background info on how King Vegeta gained his status, as well as a potential battle between Bardock and King Vegeta.

It's pretty much how all kingdoms begin.

I'd be more excited if it wasn't assured that Bardock will win.

I know, but it's still nice to have it explored, shall we say.

And how is it assured that Bardock will win?

Because the name of the chapter is "The Saiyans' rebellion", and Vegeta doesn't believe him, so... unless Vegeta suddenly believes him, chances are Bardock is going to win.

Because Vegeta would execute Bardock for his rebellion if he loses.

Also ~Bardock~ looks like ~*Goku*~.

Vegeta didn't even respond; he just bore a shocked look.

The implication of Bardock's "not the way to go" is that Vegeta wouldn't believe him just the same and he won't be able to build enough support to stop Freeza. It is very difficult to convince somebody of something when your only proof is "I have psychic powers." Although I could possibly imagine Vegeta taking Bardock seriously on the grounds that Bardock is so serious that he's willing to start a fight with his king in order to deal with it.
