Also, most natural grunt and strain noises I've ever heard out of Funimation this episode; I'm actually really impressed. Last few episodes make opting out of Kai that much harder. Then I remember how off the RoSaT scenes looked; is there any reason for that?
If I am correct those RoSaT scenes were changed in the order they appeared in the original DBZ episodes plus the animation day was just horrible. I agree they look more out of place than usual.

As for Clarke's acting in that NEP. I absolutely loved it.

Yeah, did I miss the scene where Gohan went SS? All I remember is him trying and failing, and then the next episode, poof, he already transformed.

Yes you did actually. I believe it was on Episode 80.

Why aren't they playing the Cell Games Intro anymore? It's been the Android Saga Intro for weeks now :(
GT isn't bad, just sucks ass in comparison to the other 2 animes.

Ugh, they've been dubbing this series for so many years, and yet they still can't get all the details right. In Kamesennin's explanation of the previous Tenkaichi Budoukai tournaments he still claims that:
Five years passed between the 21st and 22nd tournaments (yet he gave the correct time of three years between the 22nd and 23rd)
Gokuu and Chichi were already married before the 23rd tournament.

Fewer errors than the old dub, for sure, but why are they still getting this wrong? They dubbed all of Dragonball, they should know these things.

Those are pretty significant errors. I wonder if they might correct them if someone told the right people? I know they at least SAID they'd correct Dende's line about his "brothers and sisters" but I don't know if they actually did...
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Do you guys think its possible that FUNimation will broadcast the Buu era from the regular series and market it as Kai on Nickelodeon in the U.S.? Either that, or they'll air the Garlic Jr. stuff and then the Buu era, and then movies and perhaps Dragon Ball (omfg prequel) and Dragon Ball GT later.

I just think that, as hot a commodity as Kai is in America, there is a potentially huge audience who will watch it... and I think the sheer volume of material outside of Kai is too good for both companies to pass up. There's all of DBZ that Kai doesn't cover (filler and Garlic Jr./Buu), all 13 movies, the TV specials, the 2008 Jump Special... Thoughts?

I could see nicktoons marketing Z as Kai but i think it would be awesome if Funimation took DBZ Level 7.1-9.2 and re dubbed it in the style of Dragon Ball Z Kai. This i could see being possible although not probable. Most likely they will just put the Buu saga on and have it Dragon Ball Z.

If Toei gave FUNI the green light to do a Kai Buu saga, the it would indeed be awesome though it would probably just be new re-recorded dialogue slapped onto some Blu-Ray footage.

Though it would be a higher possibility they'd just air regular DBZ for Buu saga.

Even higher probability Nicktoons will just keep airing re-runs till the show loses it's vibe or w/e

Garlic Jr Saga? Hell no!

Uh yeah, I'd rather Funimation not make more Kai on their own. Most of the folks there still need their gloves clipped to their sleeves.

Yeah, it'd probably be poorly paced, with all sorts of awkward cuts that makes everything go by way too fast and kills drama most of the time.

Wait, that sounds just like what Toei did.

Touche.

But I doubt Funi can even do that well.

I don't really see what would be wrong with it. If we don't like it, we could just ignore it like people do GT. Not only that, but some people would like a finished product, even if it's not done as good as the beginning.

It's not Funimation's place to make anything, for one.

Also, how the eff does Funimation STILL get details of the Tenkaichi Budoukai wrong after dubbing the original DB?

True, but if Toei allowed them... Either way, it's pretty much useless speculating because chances are, it won't happen.

LOL, I love Dr. Briefs taking nothing out of his mouth last night. They also sped the scene up a lot, on top of removing the cigarette. Clarke sounded great last night!

I 100% agree about Clarke. I was watching episode 83 where Perfect Cell was speaking and then when the scene ended I thought to myself "wow I just realized that his voice is perfect now for Cell." I guess it took Clarke awhile to warm up to the role but he is absolutely perfect now. I loved it when he invaded the TV studio. I look forward to the next episode to hear more from Gohan since he is now older.

I think it's safe to say that Dameon Clarke is firmly back into the role. It's as good as ever.
