If you watch the review the reviewer sounds more like a man than she does a female. That was really what we were talking about, and I apologize if anyone thought that was not what I was talking about.

Also, it says her name at the very beginning of the video (Carolyn) and then at the top of the page, it uses the word "She".

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

Yes... but, although she doesn't sound like a female, you can still detect a little femininity in her voice if you think enough.

On topic, how many fights are in the story mode this time around?

Oh... now I feel bad for questioning her voice.

So... what cool custom characters have you found online? I found a video of a Kid Trunks once.

You know a game's bad when the main discussion in it's topic is focused around the gender of someone who reviewed it.

lol, Well, people aren't gonna pretend to enjoy it 'ey haha

Does anyone have a video of the game which is really good. By good I mean a really appealling video, where the attacks are done properly and successively without fail. I'd like to think that some of the fights in this game could possibly actually look nice, and somewhat like the show.

Seconded. I really like Ultimate Tenkaichi. I honestly think the good outweighs the bad in the game.

Even with all this crap it's getting, I'm still considering buying it for myself as a Christmas present.

For the DBZ cutscenes and replacement international music (though the Japanese is better) I'd say it's worth it if not for the game, for its video/audio content.

They could've made this game Kinect-able or PS MOVE-able since it doesn't seem to use the controller that much (press this button, press that button).

I got the collector edition yesterday. The SSJ Gohan figure is cool but the game itself kinda, sucks... Attack with X, then press X or Y, then press up, down, right or left and X then again... And again...

Does it get better later?

Not sure what you mean by "better". Game-play doesn't change, although you still have strike booster and Supers to play with.

To those still considering getting the game, I think getting the japanese version (Ultimate Blast) is probably the better choice. (aka. the choice I regret not making lol)

The game is pretty simple in its options and the menus are very straight-forward. You'll be missing the english dub-titles and the english dub, and will be gaining the Kikuchi score. For those who are fine with that, I say go for it.

One thing I will give credit to this game is that it's fun to see which "should've been there" characters I can create.....despite how limited the options still are, even in that case, but I digress :P

Since they messed up the English dub, there's not much to care for, for the English release.

So, yeah, Japanese release > English/International.

They only messed up the English dub during the story mode, and I didn't find it anywhere near as bad as people kept saying it was.

Freeza's voice is switched up and Gohan too, plus Travis voice as Cell, he was not the voice of Cell in Kai, Clarke was!

But if you can ignore these three details, then the English dub is fine.
