Those are some interesting designs, but I think your Goku somehow feels closer to the original that your Vegeta, but I can't exactly put my finger on what is that is different.
I think the cheekbones and the forehead might be a little too pronounced, maybe, especially in the last pic. Though interesting that you decided to draw him with a hook nose.

This kinda reminds me of a little project I had 2 years ago, where I drew the characters in 3 different styles. Might post them later.....

I had a sudden urge to draw Future Gohan so I did this quick drawing in pen. My scanner sucks so it didn't pick up the lines as well as I hoped. I wanted to draw him with one arm but I'm so used to drawing people with two arms that I forgot and drew it anyway.

It's strange, I thought Vegeta looked closer to the original than Goku did. But I do see what you mean, Vegeta facial features are a bit too pronounced but I must admit I like the way it looks. As for the hook nose, it was something I always wanted to draw on a character, at first I was thinking of using it for Piccolo, but out of curiosity I tried it out on Vegeta. And I think it works fairly well.

Drew these this morning. I wasn't certain whether or not to do something extremely different with Piccolo's design. At first I was thinking of doing something really alien like, no pupils just the white of his eyes, more oval shaped head, etc. Kind of like the Martian Man hunter's base form (before he shape-shifts into a more human like appearance) But then I thought that would probably deviate too far from the original design. In other words, "I played it safe".





Again, you guys let me know what you think. Also I'm still open for suggestions/requests for other characters.

How 'bout Gotenks? All three of these have been burly adult characters, so why not a goofy-looking kid next?

I like it, especially the eyes. One the things that make Piccolo and Vegeta hard to draw in another style is because in Toriyama's style their eyebrows/brow ridge is permanently attached to they eyes, which makes the scowl their default expression. In order for to still feel like the same character I figure they would have to have something similar in other styles as well. He still has a scowl but perhaps a little more relaxed than in the original and I like it that you gave him sharp eyes.
So yes, he does feel like the original , particularly in the first image.

I'd recommend one of the girls. Chichi (preferably with the 23rd TB hairstyle)or Lunch (prefer the blonde)?

Once again, very nice. I also agree that you should ink and colour these. I'd suggest drawing Kuririn and Bulma next.

And Scarz, your Gotenks looks great. I think you made him goofy enough. His trousers somewhat remind me of Aladdin's in Disney's Aladdin.

Until I run out of major DB characters to draw, I don't plan on stopping.

Finally had some time today to draw a western cartoon style Bulma. I'm going to have to draw more of her since Bulma went through tons of different outfits and hairstyles throughout the series.
