Father-Son Kamehame-Ha! (Gohan + Goku) Vs. Perfect Cell would also be an interesting cover too (this was on the Japanese Kai Blu-ray Box Eight).Eight-Star Dragon wrote:My ideal cover would be one with Goku and Gohan together I think Funimation will go for Gohan and Cell, but who knows.

I wouldn't get your hopes up.
I seriously doubt Funimation will use a design like the japanese covers.
Or go as far to give DBZ artwork covers over one or two characters.

We need a Kai for the original Db series and the Boo saga
I would truly be interested in these if they KAIified the entire series and not just at Raditz to Cell. They should have started from the very beginning of the series in my opinion.

We don't need it. You want it. There's a difference. I'd rather Toei leave the original series as-is rather than risk tarnishing the legacy of the franchise even further.OWmyDragonBallz wrote:We need a Kai for the original Db series and the Boo sagaI would truly be interested in these if they KAIified the entire series and not just at Raditz to Cell. A Kai-fied version of Dragon Ball the original series isn't happening, not under the "Kai" name because Z used that.OWmyDragonBallz wrote:We need a Kai for the original Db series and the Boo sagaI would truly be interested in these if they KAIified the entire series and not just at Raditz to Cell. Dragon Ball's only 153 eps but Majin Boo's arc yeah, a Kai-ish version would be welcomed because Boo's arc is 71 episodes in total.

Despite Boo being 71 episodes it's a funny arc to watch.

Kai-fied DB with many fillers that cannot be edited out, Piccolo Daimao voiced by Bin Shimada, and the unprofessionally placed score, huh? I don't want it.Corporate_Nothing wrote:We don't need it. The Dragon Box is good enough for me. I do think that it would be nice if FUNimation redubbed all of Z with the Kai cast and a new script, though.

If such recast existed, they should replace Schemmel with some other VA and Sabat too, they're not bad but neither excellent, pretty good then. Imo.SRB2Unleashed wrote:Add A Kai Cast Redub track And I agree

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Yep, Righstuf is the way to go.
Also got One Piece Collection 5.
Love it.
Also, not sure if it was previously discussed.
But Trunks' insert song, Change The Future, is included on the set.

I got my DVD today, and recorded a video of myself analyzing the packaging:

I'm gonna be watching the heck out of this throughout the coming week, so I'll post any notable dialogue changes from broadcast to home release I come across.

I'm glad the Funi is sticking with the high quality slip covers for Kai. Most of their other releases are now using cheap slip covers that easily get damaged and are a little too glossy for me personally.

Unfortunately it was the H-word, they could've called him Mr. Mark, but nope, do dub fans really know Mr. Satan as Mark? Maybe some, not the majority.monkeydlogan wrote:What did they call Satan oh Nicktoons?
