Thinking this over, and I actually can't agree. Yes, there has been some very awful samey games from Spike. But to suddenly stop making Dragon Ball games? What if this happened in 2008? That would mean no Attack of the Saiyans, Tenkaichi Tag Team, or Ultimate Butouden - legitimately fun, if not great different games. Their main beef seems to be with the stuff Spike's shoveling out, and I've been of the opinion they should've stopped at RB2 before adding insult to injury, but to throw the entire franchise out with the trash is a bit much.

Also, Janemba was made up by Bandai? Uh... Boy do we have 13 movies to introduce to you?

It seems those two guys are casual fans which means they only seen the show but don't care about the stuff outside of it like the movies. Not to mention games like Attack of the Saiyans and Tenkaichi Tag Team are handle games, so I doubt they played them or knew about them. I don't mind if they make new games but they should have just ended it with RB2 and made a new one a few years later with a new developer.

I do agree with them on Call of Duty, and Final Fantasy since FFX to me was the last good game in the series.

Definitely disagree on DBZ and Final Fantasy. We still get good games, like Attack of the Saiyans. I honestly liked RB2 and UT but I'd like to see someone else working on the next game (after Kinect). There's also DB Heroes and Zenkai Battle Royale which are interesting to follow.

I actually agreed with the whole list. I would like one more console game(that's not for Kinect) to end things on a positive note for fans, but ultimately the series either needs to go away or it needs another long break. It really strikes a chord when someone outside of the fan base says "you've been playing the same story over and over again for the past ten years."

Bad enough when you people make fun of you for still liking DBZ . Bandai Namco should have just ended the games with RB2 and not do another one until 2013. But I guess the causal fans would be pissed off that they stop making games and Bandai Namco does seem to listen to them from what I've been told.

I'm not going to actually watch the video because I'd be pretty happy never watching another ScrewAttack video for the rest of my life, but I completely agree that the franchise needs to die. With Dragon Ball's waning relevance Namco Bandai is never going to turn it around and put effort into a new game, they're just going to keep shitting out worse and worse games for the meager sales the license can still pull.

"Over 9000" memes and raging Broly fanboys need to die. Dragonball as a series is done, so it's already 'dead' in a way. As for new games, I don't pay too much attention to them anymore but I'll still buy one if it looks interesting and I have the console for it.

It's just really awesome that you can take a break from Dragonball for however long you like, and when you return Goku and friends will be there to welcome you back. Anytime. The story is classic, the characters legendary. And the artwork is [curse word] amazing.

To be honest, some franchises don't need to die just because they've had a couple of bad installments in recent years. The Sonic the Hedgehog series had been in the gutter for a while, but now it's getting something of a quality revival in games such as Colours and Generations, which were both reviewed positively.

Look at Crash Bandicoot. Many people believe that, post-Naughty Dog, or at least Twinsanity, the games just became crap. No, what it needs is to be in the right hands of good developers that can give the franchise a kick up the arse. And Final Fantasy, despite the subjective quality of the recent games, is still selling, so there's no push for them to improve just for the comparatively niche audience that preferred the pre-X or even pre-VII days.

Dragon Ball can still get better, if the developers just start making good, original games for once. You know, give it a new story, RPG elements or whatever, balanced and varied cast of characters. I heard that people would like a Burst Limit, Super Dragon Ball Z or Attack of the Saiyans sequel. There might still be a Zenkai Battle Royale port.

I don't get why there is so much Craig hate. I thought the video was entertaining. Also, Budokai 1 was the "wish granted" game for the western audiences. It was the first real Dragonball game to be released in the west and propelled the yearly releases for the past ten years.

While I'm not too big fan of Craig (He called Asterix and Obelix gay characters ) i agree with some of points they made, personally, I'm putting Call of Duty on 1st place, for one reason, it sold too well, making developers thinking, they can gain cash easely, by produce FPP multiplayer games.

To make a character go Super Saiyan 3 just add a really long yellow/gold hair and he/she's a SSJ3. Tbf, I liked Vejeta and Broli's SSJ3 in Raging Blast 1 all powered up to the max.

I like Broli, Vegeta & Trunks in their SSJ3 forms. But that doesn't make them original. It's not something you will see and say "Wow, I've never seen such a thing in Dragon Ball!". The only original I can remember right now is Yamhan. The What If Stories are just lazy stories that are made by guys who only watched DBZ in their childhood. I like some ideas on some of them (Kuriring having Kaio-ken & Genki Dama, Piccolo merging with Daimao too, and others), but they are so stupid. Look at Ultimate Blast's story. A young Saiyan warrior came out of nowhere and fights Yi Xing Long, who also comes out of nowhere, the Ultimate Dragon Balls scater on Earth for some reason, etc. What the fuck?!

So? Engaging games aren't hinged solely on story. I devoted over 100 hours to Ultimate Butouden, and I couldn't even understand a word of it.

The problem is we've reached a point where the same developer takes the exact same approach for gameplay concepts, style, ideas, and story execution year and year out. As well, given the games are adaptations these studios should take the chance to take liberties. Instead of starting out with Radditz why not give us a peak into Goku's life before the Saiyan Invasion and after the battle with Piccolo? It would be a good opportunity for a tutorial against a Bear with Sword or something.
