Also what did you mean by your post, did you mean I shouldnt preorder why?

I don't preorder those either, no need.
They'll be disgustingly abundant and available for 20$. Not worried.
Usually in terms of customs charges if the value on the package is marked at about (I think) 4 000 yen, you'll get charges. Charges depend on the size, weight, destination and value marked.
Some shops mark a low price so that you don't get hit with customs fees. Out of the years I've been importing I've had to pay customs maybe like 4-5 times. But that varies.
Usually when I EMS stuff it doesn't get charges unless it's a lot.

Oh ok If I buy that two pack I will get hit with customs considering its like 40 bucks.
So their not going to be sold out in one day like some other figures

Well for the scultures.. I just found that it's possible, if not easier to find them cheaper than the pre-order prices out there. I bought some of the recent scultures at about 15$ new... so pretty much what Raithos said.

As for fees and taxes.. I haven't been hit with any yet, though it's certainly possible that I could. I'm not quite familiar on the language behind US customs laws when it comes to fees and such... it seems like a lottery really (One you don't want to win  ), though I'd imagine it has something to do with the value of the package (obviously).

My favorite shipping method is EMS, and 95% of the time, that's what I used... *In a lot of cases I'm forced to lol*. EMS in its own right is an excessive cost, and there's been some cases where I paid more in shipping than I did on the actual item, but it's really fast and secure... I've had many packages delivered 2 days from when they were shipped. (My last shipment with EMS arrived on a Monday when it was shipped on a Saturday afternoon from Japan.)

I avoid using FedEx or UPS though... internationally.

I only ever buy figures from Hobby Link Japan, which strangely never has these ones up for pre-order.

Looks like outside some special collector's series, the merchandise for Dragon Ball kinda died off. I liked those HQDX, but the characters were kinda limited and lot of them repeated, as I wanted to collect something like bigger version of Gashapons and then the series and lot of others died off with flop of Kai :?

Not all sellers form HK are bootleggers but be careful of super low prices and high quantities. Also I pretty much don't buy from ebay, ever. A lot of the stuff on there is inflated to almost 3 times the price of buying it directly from sites like HLJ or Mandarake. I'm sure ppl will post links here when they become available, if not then I'll do that myself. No worries :P

2010 there was a lot of stuff produced for DB, and 2011's main focus was the SCultures line, but I hear you. The quantity of new DB figure merch is definitely decreasing at an exponential rate.

That Goku would look really cool next to the SCultures Piccolo
I know I just recently saw that Ichiban Kuji
I dont know then, but they do really need a piccolo/Kami/Daimio
Also I guess they could make a Bulma for the Ichiban Kuji

That Goku would fit a lot of Dragon Ball figures actually, he's really nice. Love the intensity and attacking stance, They should have made a Vegeta to pair with him to re-enact the stances seen in their first big fight

Hmm from like Dragon Ball?
Hmm, I'd want Chi Chi from when we first saw her to go with that Ox King, also Gohan in his little outfit with the four star ball in his hat

Piccolo Daimao
Bulma
Those are such important characters that they didnt do

This is not from the scultures line but I want them to do the same thing they did with freeza force to piccolo (have all of piccolo daimao's creations Drum etc. ,Have Kami ,have Piccolo Jr.,have Nail, and dende. Also A lot of namekians, and Kami's spaceship)
I can dream

Question: Do you guys all unseal the figure out of its box, or keep in its box?

Currently I just have one and to be honest, I like it more in its original box than out of it.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
