Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

It is hinted in the manga that they are Super Saiyan Full Power.
sintzu wrote:how did they achive it in the first place ?
They belong in the tailless generation of Half-Saiyans, and they can become Super Saiyans easily because of that. They "inherited" their fathers' strength, which is why they were so strong from that age. That's what the guidebooks told us.
thats even worse vegeta couldint even become full power ssj let alon two kids (correct me if I'm wrong about vegeta)
if thats the case than why was it so hard for gohan and future trunks to go ssj ?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Did any of the guidebooks actually say anything like this? I think the idea that they inherited their father's strength is mostly just a fan explanation. Possibly a good fan explanation, but I don't remember if any of the guides explicitly state anything like it.

Gohan wasn't part of the "tailless second generation". And in the manga, Future Trunks was already a Super Saiyan before Gohan died, so there's no indication that it was hard for him to become one in there.

"How can Gotenks hold the SS3 Transformation?"
He can't. It kills him after five minutes.

It's never outright confirmed, but there is evidence to believe that Vegeta mastered the Super Saiyan form by the Cell Games. He stops using the graded forms and has a similar aura to Goku and Gohan.

But it was never said that they can't increase their power with Grade II at this point.

Well yeah, but that's not really the point.

Perfect Files?
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Oh that's right, the Perfect Files did say something like that, didn't they? I forget what exactly.

GT logic or fusion "magic" works out as a good enough explanation for me.

I always thought of it as two people baring the strain together. Remember how tired they were after using it in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber?

Yea this one has been hit by pretty much every angle.
Gotenks only being able to hold it for 5 minutes despite being a fusion, despite his massive strength is just like DDAAAMMNN SSJ3 is screwy!

Yeah... It is the hardest form to deal with.
