It would look okay if the torso was bigger. I think that's what makes this panel weird.
It would also look better if the hand was bigger as well.
That depends. The artist could choose to make the hand bigger if he wanted a more dramatic perspective, but it seems to be a simple foreshortening of the arm and the size of the hand seems to be okay. That's kinda how it looks when you stand in front of the mirror and hold the arm in front. It's the shoulders and the rest of the torso that doesn't
seem to fit.

... I love the horrible awkwardness of Yamcha's face in the last panel.

Ya know, if they've spent the last 20 years dealing with a lunatic Saiyan, they should have grown enough in power to be able to take freakin' Raditz.

It's not like either of them were able to keep up with Goku in the main story. This version of Goku might be even stronger.

Both of them managed to match (or even surpass) Raditz's power in between Goku's death and Nappa and Vegeta's arrival. Kind of hard to believe they wouldn't have managed at least that much training during 20 years of chaos.

^Yes, but that was with training supervised by Kami. Who knows if they received that training in this universe? We also don't know, when Kakarotto started attacking people en masse do we? Maybe he waited until he was of a good enough age and builded up his power in the meantime or something, so Yamcha and Tenshinhan might not had enough time to build up their strength to such levels just yet.

@current page
Maybe on the next page we'll see Yamcha's head getting punched off? :P

I love how they are surprised by Raditz's charge, even though they had time to switch places with each other (compare this page with the previous one).
And Yamcha is going to be pwned as usual, it seems.

And Yamcha's probably going to break his world record of fastest time to be effortlessly defeated, except in this universe, he probably didn't have as many losses if Kakarotto destroyed most of Earth beforehand anyway.

I don't think Goku would be as powerful in this storyline as the original..

No coming back from the brink of death, no Korin's tower... not the same training with Roshi, he made himself to be as good as an elite warrior, but he had to make an effort since a kid with all the training and "shortcuts" to boost his power..

He's just as low a class as it gets and as he was born intended to be..

Er, what makes you think he won't get Zenkais? :?

He's obviously going to end up pretty powerful seeing as he is a Super Saiyan by the time of the tournament.

Yea, but that doesn't mean he got that powerful before his brother came to get him back on earth =p

Yamucha is cool here. 8) He's gotta be at least as powerful as Goku and Piccolo were when they battled Raditz.

Both Yamucha and Radditz look like they`re in super deformed mode in panel 2, but, other than that, nice page

Wait, huh? Claw of the Wolf? Wait, did he change his attack name or something? That attack is kind of iffy to translate, so why can't they just say Rouga Fuu Fuu Ken? Anyways, it's kind of awkward for them to draw Yamcha's counter for a single punch on the next page.

It's probably just yet another weird (Japanese-to-)French-to-English translation choice, like pretty much every other awkward wording in DBM.

As somebody who always wished more for Yamcha, the last panel is remarkably cathartic.

The artist really needs to work on the proportion of his heads/bodies. Other than that I really like his style. He seems to do action poses rather well and the faces are close to Toriyama. Good stuff.

I wish Radditz will just kill them to get it done and over with. I do want to see Vegeta, Nappa, Radditz and Kakarotto take down Freeza soon.

Glad to see Yamucha getting some action and not being character assassinated. Hope he doesn't die too horrible...
