That's DB example, the 90's anime and onward is more brutal in terms of theme and insert songs.
I really can't stand openings and endings for Gundam Wing for example, even more than Dan Dan.
Wow, really? Not saying that to patronize, just surprised is all. I'm of the exact opposite opinion musically on this one.

Head-Cha-La is a fun enough song, and I do like it, but...overall, to me, it pales in comparison to Makafushigi Adventure from the first series. The second DBZ opening was a better song, but still not as good as Makafushigi. Dan Dan, to me, was the first song to really feel like a good DB opening theme again to me, and I love the song.

I can see where he is coming from, though. Musically, Dan Dan is great. Hell, it's the backbone of the entire GT score. And it certainly ranks up there as one of my favorite pieces of DB music. Lyrically, though, it's a complete failure as a Dragon Ball song. Its lyrics have absolutely nothing to do with Dragon Ball, either literally or thematically. It's not even in the same genre, not by a long shot. So I can see someone coming at it from a lyrical perspective and seeing nothing but the, admittedly blatant, product placement that it is.

I never liked Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku. :? I guess that's not very common.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

And yet we still don't know what she looks like.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Just saying: doujinshi are very big in Japan, and there's even an annual event dedicated to them. Some are original work, and some are based on famous series. Some well-known artists also write doujinshi. For example, Kazushi Hagiwara, the author of Bastard!!, wrote some doujinshi that are canon to the series.
Sorry, I can't speak English very well, but I'm trying my best.

For some reason I can't edit my previous post.

You have no idea how many girls this has attracted. When young adult Goku first appeared, I held an event to watch it at my house. 5 neighbor girls attended. There we were, 12 year old girls squealing every time Goku appeared on scene. I keep swooning over him and Vegeta.

Knowing this, probably toriyama, shueisha toei or whatever know about toyble and all of that, they know about AF, and probably, Toriyama selected Ooshi because her style it's similar to the actual Toriyama style and it looks very comical-

I think someone told to toriyama "hey if you want an artist to draw new db manga let's look at doujinshi artists, they re fan and they know about the series"

If Toriyama discovered and personally selected Ooishi, then he has a very dirty, twisted mind for a married man with children...
Also, are these yaoi too? Just curious, because they don't look like yaoi.

Even though I don't like yaoi (or any hentai stuff), I don't mind it at all. Her official stuff weren't great, but not bad either IMO.

I think he talked with some people to search cool doujinshi artists (it's just a possibility xD)

All those perverted jokes in the series are just fine. Letting someone who did some yaoi get involved with the franchise? That's horrible.

Ooishi has her own style, and I think it works nicely.
a own style makes that looks like fanart

Toriyama is a self-proclaimed pervert.

I don't see what Ooishi's former projects have to do with anything, personally.

That he himself has nothing to do with. Ooishi wasn't hired to do that either. It doesn't affect the franchise in ANY way.

As that thread and I stated, Toriyama and the series were already perverted. But this is where you draw the line? Really?

Sadly, probably not. I've seen that double standard a lot. Gay guys, gross; lesbians, hot. I just don't get how someone can allow one without automatically allowing the other, even if they're not into it.
