Production began thirteen months ago, so I think we're in the clear.

It seems like a lot, especially when you tack on the extra 5 months. Were the previous Dragon Ball movies made in this time frame?

I doubt it. They were made far to quickly and matched portions of the series far too easily for them to have had year-plus production cycles.

The 10th Anniversary Movie may have had a longer production time.

According to http://www.kanzenshuu.com/movie/ , the jump between Movie 13 and the DB10th Anniversary Movie is the same distance as the jump between Movie 12 and Movie 13. It's pretty much March, July, March, July, etc. Even though I recall the Anniversary Movie looking really pretty, maybe it was more of them having a high quality team working on it as opposed to having extra time to work on it?

Yamamuro (the character designer) was acting as the animation supervisor, so that probably helped.

Just got a response from Mario Castañeda (Goku on Latin Dub) and he and the older cast would like to come back and hope they can reach a budget agreement for the new movie if they bring it to Latin America. :D
Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

That's cool, but I'd be more interested in FUNimation's cast talking about this film.

For nostalgic reasons, I hope Goku and the gang go camping in this movie. When I was younger, me and my brother use to always accuse the Z Movies of constantly showing the "Z-Fighters" going camping, even though it only happens twice (unless you count the end of DBZ Movie 3).

I think Kei even mention that there was word on the internet that Kageyama mentioned this new movie at a concert recently, so that's another sign that he might return.
Don't get me wrong. I do like Kageyama, but I prefer Takahashi because of his better shonen spirit song. I have no problem with Kageyama's return. I would be greatly disappointed if it was idol group that does it instead of either of them, like Kai's intro.
I agree with you DBKHD, in that I've always liked Takahashi more than Kageyama. I like them both, and Kageyama is an awesome singer, but there's just something about Takahashi that I like more. It probably has something to do with his opening for DB having less uh...weird, nonsensical lyrical moments, than either of Kageyama's openings. Most of my favorite Kageyama music is his movie endings anyway.

That said, I can definitely see them getting Kageyama rather than Takahashi. It is a DBZ-era movie rather than a DB one, and other than the Wii game, have they ever gotten Takahashi back for anything?

By the way, has it been announced who will compose the music for the new movie? Will Shunsuke Kikuchi come back to do it?

Not that I'm aware of but we'll be the first to know when VegettoEX gets the news :)
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

The Jump Festa panel is only a half hour long. To anyone who has hosted their own panel at a con, or gone to watch a 30 minute panel before, do you think this is a good length of time for what you think they'll be presenting?
I've had to do presentations for classes before, but never anything longer than 15 minutes. I feel like you can actually cram a lot into 15 minutes, but a presentation is different from a panel.

Old news, it was also stated that Masako Nozawa will be attending the Super Jump Stage. But I hope we see a lot, new trailer and hopefully some plot details.

The scan from page 73 doesn't say how long the panel will be. As far as I can tell, this is the first time the length of the panel's been brought up in the thread. Source: http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... start=1440 I didn't mention Ms. Nozawa because you already mentioned her a few pages back. Also her attendance doesn't have to do with my question. I only have the source link there because I like to cite my sources when I bring up stuff like this. But yes, a new trailer and plot details would be very nice.

Sometimes I really wish gauging tone of voice through comment texts was easier. By starting out your post by calling mine "old news", it reads as though you are being dismissive towards me because you were the first to mention Nozawa in relation to the panel. Nowhere in my post did I claim that the panel's existence was a "new" thing. I could be misinterpreting your tone though; I don't wish to get upset if this is just a misunderstanding.

I do not want to derail my own question, definitely not a single post after I asked it, so I'd like to just restate it and hopefully continue from there. >_<
For anyone who has been to or watched a panel at a con before, what do you think about the panel being a half hour and do you think it makes a suitable amount of time for what you hope to be included in the presentation?

Sorry only stated it was old news since I already knew of the new information a few days ago, and was pretty sure the members here were aware of said news. So, my bad... And I gave my thoughts on it, plenty of time for a new trailer plus extra tidbits for a plot line and discussion.

Hopefully. Really curious to hear his music again, just modernized or reinvented.

I was using signavatar.com for a avatar rotation. When I went to copy the URL for the site I wound up getting a virus so I think I'll stop using it.
