Toriyama draws for other franchises

Post by DBZGTKOSDH » Sun Oct 07, 2012 8:00 am

I have seen drawings of Naruto & Luffy by Toriyama. For which other franchises has Toriyama made drawing?

I don't understand why Toriyama usually only draw so short the most of characters

I don't think there is for Naruto, and I don't know for One Piece. As for any other franchise... That's exactly what I'm asking!

If I recall, Daizex had a section with other artists' interpretation of DBZ.

Let's see, other than ones already mentioned, there's the tribute he did for Masakazu Katsura's Shadow Lady, an image Ryo for the KochiKame 30th anniversary, and there's this image of Chibi-Maruko-chan.

I'm sure there are plenty more from the countless anniversaries for popular titles or artists.

I'd like to see a Toriyama take on Fullmetal Alchemist and a Arakawa take on Dragon Ball.

I agree with this 100%! Haha, I'd like to see Toriyama do an interpretation of Death Note, that would be interesting considering the contrast in styles.

Whoa, I'd never seen the Shadow Lady art before, awesome find. Kind of odd he did that one, since that's hardly Katsura's biggest title...based on the text and page layout though, I'm guessing this is from a Katsura artbook or something?

The Maruko-chan one looks like Nakatsuru's art to me; I could be wrong though.

Ninja!Goku (or Goten? The black long-sleeved top makes me think Goten) looks cool.

His Luffy is interesting in that it's definitely Luffy, but he also looks like he could blend into DB world more easily.
On hiatus.

Wonder if that picture means he was one of the few who liked The Phantom Menace.

...I don't dislike it. :P

I think it actually mentions in a translation that he watched it for the machines and robots rather than the humans. Given that he came from a mechanical back ground and loves working on vehicles, this isn't surprising.

I'd wanna see him take on Hellsing and have Kouta Hirano do a take on Dragon Ball.

Imagine Alucard and Goku in the other's respective art style...
