You want to know the best part? I've been going in circles searching for a source, and the information basically originated right here on the old DaizEX board. The info is in the last 3 pages of untranslated text DongHyun provided for us from the DBO guidebooks released for the game in Korea, one of the few tidbits Amaranth Sparrow/Suzaku didn't translate for us way back then...
Wow, so the whole Time Lord thing is real?!

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Apparently. My translator hasn't had time to look at it yet, not until Christmas break, but unless Google translate has ROYALLY screwed up, Miira definitely stole a pass and someone definitely asked Trunks for help in fixing said temporal problem.

This is a bit late but in the upcoming DBO update the CC Battle Dungeon will get more floors and the pet system will be upgraded. Pets can now level up and have skills that can assist the player like reviving the player and giving them access to their bank. This isn't very interesting to those that don't play the game but the art for not-Puar is adorable. I guess our Puar must have been a fuzzy, floating brown egg at some point.

Haven't been keeping up, but that not Puar is a nifty addition to the game. Assuming all shape-shifters are born from eggs, does this mean we can expect not Oolongs in the near future, too?

Not Puar has been in the game like... from the very start? Nothing regarding Oolong.

All of the in game pets are tiny floating creatures so I don't think an Oolong will ever come. When pigs fly, maybe. There used to be promotional art for a floating panties(Oolong) pet but that hasn't appeared in the game. I believe with this new pet system the current pets will be removed so only the ones found in the link will be available(not Puar, blue dragon, plant thing, and totally not Giru)...for now.

Yeah, something like that. The brown egg used to be its own pet too except it had ears and a tail. But now it can evolve into a not Puar with a little help from its owner and more importantly real world cash.

Haven't been keeping up much with this but has there been any signs of hope for a release in the west?

I played this once, but a combination of the language barrier and poor handling from my PC caused me to give up. This is definitely a game you'd want a knowledgeable buddy to help you out with. I'd love to play it properly, though. Sorry if this post is pointless.

So it is the exact same Octopus and not just them reusing the art? Well...can't say I'm surprised.

No, to be fair, there is a chance this is an entirely new character they have turned into a cyborg. I'm just assuming because I don't care enough to over tax my translator for someone so minor, and when have NTL not revived character that should be dead? =P

Maybe after the holidays, once she's gotten a break from working on Kanzenshuu's Christmas present.

I think the revived Octopus is hilarious, and also a neat call back.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Didn't Goku eat all of the octopus back then? If so, it could be a different one.

Seeing this, despite initially implied, it's true that the manga doesn't really show if Goku ate the whole octopus and just a few parts (those replaced with robotic parts in DBO).

Eventhough I like the cyborg octopus design, I think it's beginning to get a little too much with all the revived into cyborg bad guys. That joke got old a while ago. If dbo wants to mean something to the dragonball canon it should try harder to make up some new and interesting enemies and stories.
