In another thread, someone brought up another point I find interesting: I think Vegeta is a more quality villain in the early Namek saga, because he's a lot more calculating and intelligent (he never tries to blow up a planet that he happens to be on). His decisions are more logically based, and while still being blatantly evil, is willing to be sensible and accept help from the earthlings when need be. This isn't as entertaining to watch as the Saiyan Saga, but he worked well as a lesser-of-two-evils-but-still-stay-the-hell away-from-him kind of villain.

I love Vegeta in the Saiyan Saga because he so Ruthless and Heartless but calm when he commits murder. The Second someone does something that hurts his pride he absolutely loses it and will destroy an entire planet to kill his enemy regardless of whether it would kill him or not. I also like how cunning and calculating he is in the Freeza saga because of his lessons from being defeated on earth and learning from his mistakes.
