About the recaps...
There was always something I wondered about the (japanese) DBZ recaps. Why is the voice acting redone for the recap instead of just using the original dialogue from the previous episode?
I hope my question is clear enough. It's just that when watching the recaps, I notice the line delivery is completely different, which points out that they've re-recorded the dialogue for the recap. What's the point in doing that?

Perhaps it's the same reason the directors felt it was nessacary to re-animate certain segments from the end of the previous episode into the beggining of the next one; a different take on the same event to embelish their personal style?Adnan wrote:So now, what is the point of re-recording the dialogue for the recaps?
But who knows how coordinated the voice directors were with the animators and storyboard directors. They might have recorded a bunch of lines in different ways, and then one was selected and inserted into the episode. Now for the next episode, instead of looking back and using the same clip, they selected a different one for one reason or another.
I'm really not an expert on Toei's production methods in the late 80's/ early 90's, let alone today, so it's anyone's guess really.
So zetta slow
