Dragon Ball episodic game by TellTale Games?
TellTale Games makes stylised graphics alike the comics, gameplay is click & point and variety of responses which makes all around all episodes challenging, addicting and definitely worth of being Game of the Year, which happened to their The Walking Dead.
I'm not exactly sure if Dragon Ball would work out with a system like this, perhaps the majority just wants another fighting game and it is what Dragon Ball is about but distancing from the regular genre, and having a (episodic) game produced by TellTale Games would be highly interesting.
Anyway, TTG has produced other games than The Walking Dead, but if you own a 360/PS3/PC/MAC/iOS then check the game out. It isn't a mindless zombie game about killing walkers, but surviving through those harsh times. The story tends change with the choices made throughout the game.

This would be a waste of time, and money. Telltale's strengths are narrative or character driven point and click adventure games. I struggle to think of ways to apply that to Dragon Ball while making an exciting game people would want to play.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

They might as well re-release the Playdia games instead, in all honesty.
I loved that first season of the game as much as the next guy, but Dragon Ball is just not that kind of universe to have a deeply choice based adventure.
Here's hoping the Dragon Ball adventure game gets made, so we can have something different, and for the upcoming Walking Dead Survival Instinct to not suck
(and for season 2 of Telltale's game comes fast)

This may not be the same thing, but Nostal/Treevax (the French fan who gave a bunch of interesting fan-wish sheets for an hypotetical Raging Blast 3 to Spike/Namco representatives) has been creating a simple RPG style DB/Z/GT/Movies/Specials 2D fangame called Dragon Ball: Saiyajin no Souzoku (Dragon Ball: Legacy of the Saiyans).

Maybe I should create a page for it in Fan-Created Works...

If they do this then it might be a US only game. I can't see it selling in Japan or having Namco Bandai taking it seriously.

A Dragon Ball game by Non-NB would be interesting either point and click, fighting, rpg or et cetera.
TellTale does a brilliant job at telling stories, so they wouldn't have a problem being faithful to the original story of DB/Z.

I hear that their other games are pretty mixed too like the Jurassic Park game for example.
