And now Raichi concocts a plan to seal both halves of Hirudegarn inside of Tapion, without the thing constantly trying to break free. That's my theory anyway.

Though that means we won't get to see the second form of Hirudegarn sadly, if I'm right.

She's the "leader" of the ghost warriors. Raditz is the non special one.

I'm sensing some translation errors here, or some major changes I hadn't thought about.

This story took place in 16 universes? Looking at the Universe chart again, I guess that is what this one means, because Universe 16 itself is Vegetto's universe.

But Tapion and his people made Hirudegarn themselves, for the purpose of conquering the universe? Wha?

That's Hoi talking but yeah, this is what I warned you guys about.
First, the movie led me to believe that the Konats themselves created the statue and that it was worshipped as some kind of patron deity. It wasn't created by Hoi and co. to conquer the universe, it was however, somehow tainted and given life to by them.
Right after they say that the people knew their idol, so did they create him or not? And according to the movie, they kinda didn't. It was just a mix of dumb luck and sacred objects. Thirdly, when was it ever stated that they were musicians at all?
This just makes a bunch of dumb assumptions out of nowhere.

Ohh, okay. For some reason I assumed that it was Tapion talking - most likely because we don't really see Hoi on this page. I'm assuming that it's his dialogue is revealed in the next page or so?

Yeah, that was my understanding in the movie too, was that the statue was just a statue of some god that they had been worshiping, that Hoi's people chose to instill with life and use to kill everything. I mean, you could just make your own monster from scratch, but that's for amateurs that like pink blobs that eat candy. Why not make a monster out of someone's god? Now that's style.

I'm fine more or less with that little change I guess, but then we get to that dialogue that sounds like Tapion's people always had a way to stop their god, or the statue of it, or whatever. Um...why? I guess I could see them having some ways to try to fend off the wrath of their god if it got angry, maybe their ideal of Hirudegarn was kind of like Greek myth where the Gods were all powerful, but pretty much the biggest scumbags you'd ever meet. But that's still a little much. And if it's just that they knew how to stop the statue...statues turning into monsters is that big of a problem, is it? :/

As for the assumption that their musicians, in their defense slightly, I've seen that idea tossed around for a long time, dating back to Planet Namek's old website even I think. So that's nothing new at least, even if it's not really stated anywhere.

...Come to think of it, do we even know if Hoi's people were native to planet Konatz, and they shared it with Tapion's people (kind of like Saiyans and Tsufurians), or did Hoi's people just migrate there, looking from planet to planet for something good to monsterfy?

'Prince' Cold eh? Now that'd be something I'd be somewhat interested in seeing them show, a young Cold and his parents, maybe.

Keep dreaming. Not only do I believe that to be unlikely, they would find a way to fuck that up.

The only thing we saw in the movie was Minotia being smashed by his half. We don't even know when that happed (could have happened a week before Hoi got to Earth, or centuries).

Oh, whoops. I guess it's been a while since I saw the movie last.

Still, we know the backstory behind Hirudegarn and Hoi's race (whose name I do not recall), so I just think this is all unnecessary.

Maybe I'm just being Piccolo-biased and want to see the story behind Daimao.

I'm about half and half here. While I think there is some stuff they could show us right now for posterity, we more or less know what happened (unless they decide to throw in a wrench to shake things up), but really I just want to get back to how things play out between Tapion and Raichi already.

Very true.

Same here, that's probably the backstory I'm the most interested in right now. I really want to know how things worked out in that universe.

Or wait...no, it's my second most interested one. I want to know about the 'Master Kuririn' universe more.

Yeah, I'm far more eager to hear about Master Kuririn's universe. Hell, I just want to see him in the main comic some more.
