So we're finally getting this game, and I'd thought I'd scan some previews from the April NP. It appears Nintendo has finally confirmed the existence of this game and is releasing it in March. Don't ask me why they're putting a preview of a game in the April Edition if they're releasing it in March, but at least it got a nice page and a half...
Leaves me wondering why they call it Advance
Adventure in the ad, but Advance
Adventures in the preview, a few pages later.
So zetta slow

Seeing as it's on a GBA cart, I don't know how many "Japanese voices" it could possibly have, but if you're talking about SFX, such as a short yell when getting hurt, it's anyones guess.

Anyway, I've got the SJ Scan and I'll post it here later. Goku doing the Kamehameha's cool looking, though I'm happy that G o k o u has been fixed for the NA Version.
I really, really need to get back into the habit of posting.

Because reviewers have this uncanny disability, they must pluralize titles that may or may not need to be. It's all good though, as long as it only pertains to their preview.
Now as far as the Japanese voices are concerned, all they are are sound effects of minor noises. So changing them would be rather redundant. But then, one cannot guess just what Atari has done to this small wonder until we see it on shelves.
And lastly, previewing in the April edition for a March game is almost paradoxial. Of course, if that issue comes out in March, it can be over-looked.

There is some very small dialogue in the duel mode ("Yatta!", "Peace, Peace" and such ;P), they may change that?

I have the UK version of the game. Goku yells stuff like "Kamehameha!" and "Yatta" when he wins a battle. It is an awesome game, one of the best Dragonball video games ever made in my opinion. I thought it got cancelled and was never going to be released. Should have known better and waited perhaps.

Mmmm... I stand corrected then... I just remembered the crappy sounding Kamehameha! sound from LOG1. And of course they'll change it, what if some innocent little American boy found out Goku was Japanese? He'd have nightmares! Oh the humanity...
By the way, in the UK release, did they spell "Goku" "Go-kou"? Or are those fist set of Screenshots from the JP version?
EDIT: Dammit, the filter caught Go-kou

Well they left in / have Japanese audio in Ultimate Battle 22, Final Bout, Budokai 3, and Tenkaichi Budokai (I dunno if I'm missing any...). And since all the audio in this game is mostly just small voice clips like battle grunts, I don't think they'd bother changing them. They're so insignificant.

Well, they didn't have any audio to use in the first two games you mentioned, because the dub wasn't really that far yet, Budokai 3 was a re-release that would only be purchased by people who wanted it specifacally for the Japanese audio, and I've got nothin' for Tenkaichi
Anyway, I was joking to point out how far they go sometimes for the sole reason of changing innsignifigant things like that. I'm all for leaving it relatively untouched, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Well I just mean, they were willing to release Ultimate Battle 22 in North America with the Japanese battle voices still there.
And Final Bout, well they dubbed over the actual speech before and after fights, but they left the original battle voices.
Since Advance Adventure is pretty much all battle voices, I figured they'd leave it too.

This rocking game sure isn't square! I hope they leave in the intro song and the ending songs of the original show, unlike the UK version which changes them to nonsense songs!

Guess this game has been delayed yet again. Gamestop has it listed for a June 13 release. I'm thinking that I might just import the UK version.

Dammit, stop delaying this game. >:O It CANNOT be difficult to release it to the US when it's available in English in the UK.
One thing's for sure, we won't be getting the "Mysterious Adventure" opening theme for the English version.

..Even though the song IS on the US version of the show.

Just import from Europe and pay twice of what you'd normally pay for a game already. Americans complaining about getting games late never end up looking good.

That's the thing. Some of us would rather
not pay more than they should for a game. If I'm gonna import, I may as well import a Japanese copy. But even then, some people are selling that version for $50. :s

You beat me to the question. *hands him 500 zenie* I was going to say that the editors possiblt have made the change, since I had the same thing done in my last article (they misspelled my last name on the article page).
And also, I noticed that on the ad page, they have "Gokou" mentioned, but the article page they say "Goku" in the game. Makes me wonder if the name corrections are part of the original delays.
