No one ever really changes, basically. That's the best I can come up with.

Two years? Seriously?

Guaranteed pre-order import, then.

A two year wait is not that bad.

Waiting might be good for some of you. Think of it as the Saiya-jins arriving in two years. Use that time to train. Cross the snakeway. Learn Kaioken. Go outside. OK, that last one might be a little bit unrealistic but my point still stands.

Nah, going outside for some air is fine. It's interacting with these other lifeforms we call "people" that you have to worry about.

You can also use those 2 years to learn the Genki Dama, also I hope Fox remembers the failure of DBE and decides not to pick up BOG and FUNimation gets it because I know that FUNi will do it right.
If anyone has any of the DB/DBZ/DBGT or Maho Tsuaki Sally Japanese single DVD's that they'd be interested in selling send me a PM and I'll see if we can work something out. ;).

Or have FUNi and Fox duke it out in the Room of Spirit and Time for two days.
:P
It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.

Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

I don't mind waiting a few years. I mean, it would probably just make it all that better when i finally do see it. It could come sooner, but if it's 2 years...i'm fine with it. One Piece: Strong World hasn't even been released in the US yet, if i'm waiting for that, then i can wait for BoG.

There's no reason to justify how much it sucks to wait. It certainly doesn't make piracy okay, but Toei should really consider streaming the movie online with subtitles for a few dollars after the theater run is over. I guarantee most of the die-hard dismissers of the Japanese version would give in.

I'm totally cool with that idea, actually... do the Japanese even have a download-to-own or streaming service? Last time, I checked, disc-based media was the only way the Japanese sell their entertainment.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I mean, they have iTunes...but you generally don't see much anime on there.

Honestly, I think that if you're an anime fan, the best place to be is the US. That's not some patriotic statement or anything, I'm just saying that currently, if you want to watch anime, you have the most options if you live in the US. Between a multitude of online streaming options, download-to-own options, and discs that don't cost NEARLY as much a their Japanese counterparts (despite typically containing a much higher episode count and two audio tracks)...if you're an anime fan in the US, you've got the most options (and the most affordable options, for that matter).

I personally don't mind waiting two years, and I'm certainly not going to contribute to piracy in that time period. However, for the sake of the industry at large, I agree that for combating piracy, Toei really needs to think about upping the ante when it comes to their streaming and download-to-own (or even download-to-rent) options.
A "rather haggard" translation of a line from Future Gohan in DBZ, provided to FUNimation by Toei:
"To think of fighting that is this fun...so, it was pleasant fight, as many as, therefore is a feeling which is good the fight where."

Maybe we'll get the DVD/Blu-Ray around the same time it's released on Japan. Probably would just be subbed or maybe even dubbed.

Fuck that! I'm gonna pick up the Hong Kong bluray release.
I never grew up with the Funi dub anyway!

In the case of the new Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime, there's been absolutely no domestic release announced yet for the US. So, if you'd want to see the anime, you'd have to watch a fansub. Or read the scanlations. Yeah, it's not legal, but hey... it's the only translated version available.
Actually, the Japanese dvd/bluray released by Warner Home Video (Japan) has English subtitles.

Two years really? Two years??? For what?
DC Direct movies are released one-two months after US release with czech dubbing over here!
I think having Fox dubbing it will be maybe faster and better?

Funimation: Buy all our faulty releases or you won't get a thing and then, we will be scratching our balls for year and a half over it and myah myah myah..........

Shut up and do your job properly. I have the feeling as they are in heavens how awesomely they dubbed the Kai, after series of shit releases, which one of them was imperfect but Limited (for the fun of it!)
and useless dub they fucked all over in many ways for all the 500 episodes....

Oh god....

Well licensing movies to do take time. You just can't go knock on their door and ask them for the rights to it. I doubt people downloading fan subs of the movie will hurt sales of the movie given that other movies got leaked on the web before they were release did fine (For example; Marvel's The Avengers). Not to mention all 13 DBZ movies sold well in the US despite the fact that people were downloading and buying fan subs of the DBZ Movie 1-13 from Anime Labs during the 90's and early 2000's.
