Isn't that necro-posting, Alex? :?

Oh well, at least I'll get to say something while I'm in here.

I think that a trilogy of Dragonball Z films should end at Freeza. How would you put two sagas into three films? Simple. Sub-plots. That's the easiest way I can break to you. Adding some depth into the story.

Some things would have to be changed and new things would DEFINATELY have to be added. I know a lot of hardcore DBZ fans would want it to be as close to the original material as possible, but these people need to be a whole lot more open-minded about some things. It's a little thing called compromise.

I would suggest taking small characters out and others only in the back ground.

Take out Yajirobe, Mr. Satan (if they go that far), oolong & puar (or have them as human characters), Dodoria & zarbon maybe. It would have to be dicussed further and depend a lot on how you drive the story.

Skip the battle with Raditz.

A live-action DBZ movie wouldn't be such a great idea IMO. I mean, it would have to have THE CRAZIEST visuals EVER in a movie. It would have to be even crazier than the Matrix fights were. Which is possible after seeing what they did in the final Neo vs Smith fight, when they were flying around and making craters and stuff. But it shouldn't, because you know whoever makes it will ruin the story big time.

On the other hand, if it were up to me and I had the chance to make a live-action Dragon Ball movie, I'd start at the very beginning. No! I would begin my 5 part series with a detailed introduction to Gohan, Goku's adopted father. I would show off his martial arts skills first. It would be at least 20 minutes in the movie before he finds Goku in the space pod. That's how I'd do it. I'd go way back in time. Heck, I'd even show Muten Roshi trainning him.

You should've seen the stuff they deleted early on. Neo had this sort of Hadoken/Kamehameha move he'd use in the Matrix; He'd build up energy and then release it in a Goku/Ryu sort of fashion. He used it during the Chateau fight and Super Burly Brawl in the scripts and storyboards.

Pretty interesting stuff, but I'm glad the Wachowskis removed it. :P
