Huh, so now the site is viewable for the entire world again... o.O
Re: New FUNimation DragonBallZ.com
Wasted opportunity to not have Dead!Yamcha as a screenshot for the Saiyan arc.
EDIT: That's a really well-put together trailer for Dragon Ball movies; good showcasing of how well-animated the anniversary film is.

Re: New FUNimation DragonBallZ.com
I'd suggest people checking the Extras category, some of those wallpapers are really good for the PC's background and whatnot.
My favourite's the sixth with Goku, Gohan, Piccolo & Shenron. Dunno who's designed it but they've done a great job, imo!
This one's quite cute too: http://www.dragonballz.com/images/wallp ... 0x1080.jpg
Sure hope the website maintains accessible worldwide, as it would be unfortunate if it went back to US-only.

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? Re: New FUNimation DragonBallZ.com
I can't imagine what the reasons would be, but is it possible there's some kind of licensing stipulation that would for some reason not allow the FUNi site to show up in Japan, or something?Gonstead wrote:How ironic.kei17 wrote:It's still blocked in Japan.songohan619 wrote:Huh, so now the site is viewable for the entire world again... o.O

Re: New FUNimation DragonBallZ.com
I guess Toei is putting pressure on FUNi because they don't want the Japanese import cheaper releases. A few years ago, actually, an online import DVD shop named DVD Fantasium suddenly stopped selling all of the "season" boxes and Double Features. Maybe it's why they no more include Japanese title cards/credits on cheap releases and all the DVDs after the Blue Bricks don't support R2.Gyt Kaliba wrote:I can't imagine what the reasons would be, but is it possible there's some kind of licensing stipulation that would for some reason not allow the FUNi site to show up in Japan, or something?Gonstead wrote:How ironic.kei17 wrote:It's still blocked in Japan.

Re: New FUNimation DragonBallZ.com
They also revamped the GT site awhile back too, both with some awesome new wallpapers. I doubt they'll showcase any new releases though!

Huh, strange, both the DB and DBZ pages are available in Norway, but the GT page is not. o.Obleed0range wrote:Hey look, they did http://dragonballgt.com/ too.

DRAGON BALL Z
WITNESS THE ACTION AS POWER LEVELS RISE AND PLANETS EXPLODE.
Sounds about right...
And it's cool to actually see it again. I haven't seen these sites since like 2003-2004.
Edit-
Goku is the hero of Dragon Ball Z, the most powerful warrior on Earth. When the Saiyans arrive, Goku learns the mysterious secret of his own past: he is a Saiyan formerly named Kakarot. Goku was sent to Earth as a baby to destroy the planet, but a head injury as a child scrambled Goku's programming. Instead of growing up to become a destructive super-warrior, he became innocent and pure of heart, fighting for good.
Goku is peaceful, good natured, honest, loving to his family and friends, loyal, trustworthy, and brave. If he has a weakness, it is his trusting nature. He always finds the good in people when others don't see it, though Goku's enemies sometimes take advantage of his naive trust.
They're still using this?!

It is in his character to be rude and a bit crass. He's a hick, with no formal education. That is Son Goku. That is who he is.
Superman in an orange Gi was the bastard son of FUNimation. Its not The real character, it is as false as Chatku.

Re: New FUNimation DragonBallZ.com
That's exactly what I was thinking of maybe, was the fear of reverse importation. I'd imagine that while the Dragon Boxes themselves are OOP, the singles from it are all still available in Japan, right? So they'd want those to be picked up rather than the much cheaper FUNi products, yeah.kei17 wrote:I guess Toei is putting pressure on FUNi because they don't want the Japanese import cheaper releases. "Z Cards! Desktop Patterns! Live chaaaaaaat!!!
Anyway, does this art look familiar to anyone?
Unless of course they used this art somewhere previously that I am unaware of.
Are-are the screenshots for the Saiyan and Freeza sagas coming from where I think they're from? Why must they taunt us like that?
Had to link an image from the Saiyan saga due to the word filter. Must admit, there is something off-looking about these screenshots. Maybe they're not what I think they are.
But why do the Cell and Buu saga pages use screenshots from the singles?

Level 1.2 wasn't cancelled. It was Level 2.1 that was.dbboxkaifan wrote:It's odd that they're promoting DBZ Level 1.2 on the main page even though it's been cancelled/pending since 2011. Nevertheless, the website looks great and very informative!

I almost hoped that their Buy Now links to the Dragon Boxes would not be to astronomically high priced Amazon listings.
