I predict a SSJ3 Tarble is coming soon. It's a Super Saiyan 3 bargain sale.

Your latest posts in this thread, when not approaching near-incomprehensibility, are rude, sarcastic in a way that has no humor to it for anyone other than yourself, and derailing the conversation.

Part of my job is to prevent that from happening, tell people when they're doing it, and remove them when they continue. If you're incapable of humbly taking a warning and moving on, you won't have a place here any longer.

I hope that's clear, because right now I'm very much bordering on just flat-out removing you and having the conversation return to its prior, pleasant, and legible form. You either want to be here or you don't.

We have seen Future Trunks & Future Gohan as Super Saiyan 2 in the video games, at least.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Yup, hence my asking if they did give him one arm or both, earlier in the thread. *nod* They could have given him some more unique moves if he was one-armed, or something.

...Has any game had him with one arm, come to think of it, of the few that have had Future Gohan in them? I think he still had both arms in BT3...but I can't remember about Sagas.

He had both arms in Tenkaichi 3, not sure about Sagas.

Haha, no worries. Wasn't berating you for not having seen it, was just saying that was the cause of my earlier question, since I'm not even sure I replied back to who answered me about it. :P

I remember Future Gohan being one of the special 'bonus' characters in that game, but I can't remember if he had one arm or both. Hmm...

Interestingly enough, it looks like, for at least part of the game, he does have one arm.

Future Gohan has only ever had one arm in Sagas as far as I know, but that was back when Atari had the license. When he's been included in Sparking or Raging Blast, they've given him two arms, but he only attacks with the one. Namco Bandai has gone on record to say that we won't be getting future Gohan with one arm because it would force them to raise the game's ESRB rating via today's standards(plus all the recoding it would require for character with attacks or throws that grab the left arm to be switched just for Gohan). I don't know if the Japanese arcade games even have to deal with these things, but it's likely they just remain uniform across the whole board, meaning that any time we get future Gohan, he'll have two arms and attack with just the right one, regardless of the time frame he's supposed to be from (pre or post death).

So him missing an arm, even if we don't see in game how it happened (as in, one would have to have prior knowledge of the series to know because the game presumably wouldn't show us), would make them up the rating? That's...odd. I can kind of see it being an issue, but at the same time it seems a bit...silly. Huh.

At least that kind of answers the question though, especially since I could see them wanting to keep something uniform across all platforms and games.
