Through it's not a huge deal. WWE Bleacher report article "WWE the Music: New Songs for WWE Standouts" mention using DBZ theme for the wrestlers. Now article itself is pretty bad and horrible choice of music but it's nice to see wrestling fans(IWC and Smarks) wanting to use DBZ music for wrestler. It'll never fit but nice thoughts. The songs used was
'Dragon Soul' by Vic Mignogna for Daniel Bryan -
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1711 ... ts/page/11 and 'The Enigma' by Bruce Faulconer for Curtis Axel" -
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1711 ... uts/page/6.
Here is what some fans had to say by the choice of music:

I like this theme way more than the other DBZ themes

These are worse then TNA theme songs..
Mad Charlie posted about 3 hours ago Contributor I
None of these song has the ability to make the crowd pop after hearing it which is basically the most important factor in selecting theme song for wrestler...
Salvador Bonilla Jr. posted about 2 hours ago Contributor I
Big Time Rush? Dragon Ball Z? Black Veil Brides? Great choices! *totally not sarcasm that's for sure*
Rafa Phoenix posted about 1 hour ago Contributor I
Pikkon's theme is badass. Bruce Faulconer was a genius. A true composer at work.
Troy Anderson posted about 1 hour ago Contributor I
As much as I love Dragonball, that song would be dead with the crowd. So dead in fact that we would mistaken it for Yamcha.
Ramel Childs posted about 1 hour ago Contributor I
My goodness is this article doo-doo cakes in sauteed cat piss....I only MAYBE see one of this songs working and that's the snowgoons but seriously, DBZ Kai? lmfao I couldnt stop laughing
Jacob Infante posted about 3 hours ago Contributor I
These are all terrible...
Quite weird choices of music to say the least. It's understandable why he'll use Bruce F. music over the original music because Bruce is more American and through they're Smarks in wrestling, they're not in DBZ

. This isn't the first time Bleacher Report mentions Dbz. Through it's a rare occasion. Read the full article here

It's a particularly good Faulconer productions song, thankfully. I just hope (perhaps extremely optimistically) that Scott Morgan got royalties for the use of his work...

I don't ever remember Pikkon's Theme ever being called that? Dragon Soul seems way too cheerful because of the lyrics, but the instrumental version could work well.

Yeah Dragon Soul with lyrics doesn't fit at all, instrumental could maybe work. The Faulconer song could maybe work though. Not sure if it would be good for a character like Axel though, seems like something that would be used for a character that had more of a crazy out there kind of gimmick

Quite frankly, I think Faulconer's music in general sounds like it actually would fit relatively well for pro wrestling. More than DBZ, at any rate.
"Dragon Soul," though? That had to raise a few eyebrows, especially for non-DBZ fans.

Faulconer music is hardly part of Dragon Ball Z, it's only recognisable in America and some fans in UK/Canada.
Whenever I see "WWE" it reminds me of its pathetic wannabe fighting and awful acting. Don't know how adults can enjoy something as fake as wrestling.

Because DBZ is oh so real?
It's stories with over the top characters and great athleticism. When it's bad, then there's nothing worse, but when wrestling is great (austin vs. bret hart, hbk vs kurt angle, flair vs steamboat) then there's very little that's better.

Did you just compare DBZ to Wrestling because they're somewhat in the same genre, one's actual fighting and the other's pretending, although it's Japanese animation against a novela, because it doesn't qualify any better than that.
Dragon Ball Z has a classic wonderful soundtrack, excellent voice acting, character art and more. I used to like WWE but back then as a kid/teen.
Comparing DBZ to WWE is rather insulting.

Movies are fake. Just saying =/. Wrestling is kinda real and fake at the same time. Sometimes you do get punched in the face(Sheamus to Christina MITB 2013) and sometimes you don't.

I don't watch pro wrestling anymore beyond the occasional YouTube clip, but "fake" is not the best word to describe pro wrestling because it is just as fake as movies and TV shows are. Its stories and matches are pre-determined, certainly, and there have no doubt been countless, utterly cringe-worthy moments where you wonder what in God's name the writers and producers were thinking...
...But it can be extremely entertaining, and the wrestlers involved work their asses off to entertain the audiences, which can sometimes result in very real injuries or even the loss of their lives (RIP Owen Hart).

DBZ isn't actual fighting, it's a fictional show. Wrestling just happens to be live, like a play.
Wrestlers often have great entrance music (HHH, Stone Cold, the Fabulous Freebirds), they can inspire great emotion, and the athleticism and stories are fun to watch. It's not for everyone but to insult wrestling like that is what's insulting.

Everything is scripted in wrestling, accidents do happen such as the death of Owen Hart.

Not true. Maybe not today, but promos used to be delivered on the fly, and the matches, other than the ending, used to be called in the ring. Even today, a few wrestlers deliver promos off the cuff. There might be bullet points.
To bring it all around to DBZ, I saw a video where Kofi mentioned Goku, but it makes me sad that he may have only seen the dub.

Nope. Back in the day. Scripts were not needed. You really should do more research. Austin 3:16 speech wasn't scripted. Cm Punk was semi scripted. You really think the creative team came up with "IF YOU CAN SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING". Anyways back in the day the y didn't really use scripts. Well WCW did but not WWE(F). They used a base thing and then the wrestler just talks. Fro example they would just say talk about what happen last week. The wrestlers would go out with no script. So in my opinion that's why past superstars has MUCH more better mic work than current Super Stars.
but it makes me sad that he may have only seen the dub.
I doubt most famous people who speak english want subs. I think they want the language they speak in.

Scripted as in the fights, not what was said or done exactly. The outcome of a fight is already decided, or do you think they're really fighting to win yet they whisper eachother what move they will do next. And I don't really care to do much research on this as I'm hardly entertained by wrestling, learn to be an ass some other way and don't get your panties in a bunch over the topic.

I don't want to get into a fight but writing "learn to be an ass..." and "don't get your panties in a bunch..." is being an ass. Wrestling isn't your bag, fine, but it is to millions of intelligent people.
