Which games have the original Japanese music from the anime?

Hi, my brother's in Japan and has offered to bring me DBZ stuff. So I was wondering, which DBZ games have the original series music on PS2 and PS3? I think I read that Raging Blast 2 has different music?

There's more but you seem more focused on PS2/PS3 so this should be enough.

If you don't have Battle Stadium D.O.N I'd suggest giving it a go, the game's a lot of fun. Check the gameplay videos on YouTube, though, playing and seeing is two different things.

Some of the games you listed there (Legends, Dragon Ball DS, etc.) just have an opening theme or so. Their standard BGM isn't the music from the show. Misleading inclusions.

^ You're correct Michael but he stated "DBZ original series music" so that could be the OP/ED/BGM he wasn't entirely specific.

By any chance, Sangofe, does your brother like games? Could he try it out Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle Royale and then tell you his experience?

I'm so happy that we're finally getting a game similar (BoZ) to ZBR, I can't wait to order it. :)

Every game made by Spike, except the PSP game.

Sparking!/NEO/METEOR, Raging Blast, 2, Ultimate Blast. Oh, and Zenkai Battle Royal has it too.

Other games have had an opening in the game or remixed versions of opening and closings, but only those 7 (ha ha, Dragon Balls) had most of the entire soundtracks made up of music from the anime.

Thanks. He's leaving Japan now, and I'm not sure if he was able to get any of the things I asked for. We'll see, I guess!

It was confirmed by Trevax but we shouldn't completely rely on him because Namco Bandai might have something different up for the EU/US market (just the new soundtrack and no Kikuchi).

On this game topic on this sight. It was posted it said Europe. So mostly likely USA will get it too.

Is there any reason for Treevax to be considered unreliable?

He's not a Namco Bandai employee and thus far he can't speak for the company itself.

I'll wait and see what soundtrack is on my BoZ copy when I play it this winter.

He is a moderator in... something (forum?) of Namco Bandai, he has access to information that we don't have (his posts in FB show this), and I he talks with employees from Namco Bandai.

Back in 2011 they stated that Ultimate Tenkaichi would have the original Japanese soundtrack but look what it turned out to be. Trevax might know a lot more than any of us and be a moderator on one of their forums but let's just wait for the final product and see what comes out of it.

Whether it's Synthesised Kikuchi or the new soundtrack by Ryuji Nishida & Tomoya Sato (credited on BoZ's trailer) I'll be perfectly happy either way. I can load Synthesised Kikuchi tracks any time, so that's not an issue.

I always get excited when these games have the original BGM, with the chance that it is some of the previously unreleased stuff. I think it was the Sparking! series that kei17 was able to extract some of the unreleased tracks from. But I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that it was just unreleased movie BGM, which we later got in full from the laserdisc editions.
