BOG is not going to change anything. People said the same for Kai when it was coming out on Nick Toons and things are the same now after 2003. I think the Budokai games did great because they came out during a time when DBZ was still popular in the US and they also got good reviews. Fans and non fans pick up the game after hearing good things about them. Sadly most people that I've see that said that DBZ games when downhill when BT started in 2005. I think a new Budokai game could have old and new fans pick up the game. I also believe Spike is cheaper to use then Dimps to make a new console game. C'mon there can't be NOTHING we can do. I'm sure there is a way that we can atleast get their attention that budokai fans still exist. Look at people like underlordtico and thesaiyanjin2 their combo videos show that there are still serious budokai fans/players who still love the game and play it to this day. DBZ Kai failed because it was put on Nicktoons. Had they put it on Adult Swim, there wouldn't be as big of a problem. The typical American fanbase is also stupid, wanting there heavily butchered Funimation dub. Budokai 3 is still highly praised, and for good reason. Dragonball Z Kai did not fail at all. Putting it on Nicktoons was a very smart move, because the franchise is the most successful when it's promoted to children.
Burst Limit was meant to be more like a reboot. It's like a nextgen version of the first Budokai.Well, Burst Limit was meant to be a real sequel to the Budokai series but they toned down the complexity far too much and excluded all but a few key characters in their roster.

Burst Limit was pretty much the next gen Budokai as Raging Blast was the next gen Budokai Tenkaichi. Burst Limit had a decent critical reception and was the best selling Dragonball game this generation. I think more casual fans like RB better which is why it got a sequel. While BL got good reviews from gaming websites, fans felt 50/50 on it. I remember a lot of fans were bashing on the game when it came out on sites like Gamefaqs and IGN. The drama pieces, the short story mode and the limit reply value was the biggest problem that the game had. RB return to the fighting style of the Sparking games which are very popular with fans here in the US.

I think that the most important thing to answer to the opening post is, that DIMPS isn't the creative force behind using franchise titles, so even if they want to make a sequel or game based on something,
someone must hire them first. They are developers who are hired by Bandai to make Dragon Ball games, so Bandai is not interested or DIMPS makes commitment somewhere else.
I can't thank them enough for great Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball and at last great Street Fighter games!
BTW. Saint Seiya Hades Sanctuary was one of the worst sequels I've ever played and it was from GIMPS.

Dimps DBZ games without Yamamoto's music would feel somewhat off, I just can't stand the fact of Budokai HD Collection doesn't feature the superb authentic score it's really a huge shame.dbzfan7 wrote:But the big boys are meanies.
