Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

It has nothing to do with Vegetto. Arale is stupid entirely independent of Dragonball.

I love Dr. Slump, so i found this page hilarious, i wonder if this retrospective will last more than one chapter? We are almost halfway, and this fight is still going on, we still have Gotenks vs Nekomajin, Bra vs Eleim.

Never gave Dr. Slump a chance, but this is pretty cute. 18's yell face was totally reminiscent of One Piece.

Someone needs to make a video or Arale beating TFS Popo, Bills, SSJ4 Gogeta, SSJ4 Vegito, Fan hype Broly and Whis all at once.

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! I KNEW IT!! I've been saying over and over that this was the ONLY possible reasoning for Arale not being killed in a single hit.
LOL @ everyone who thought Arale was just winning normally. No way in your life... Android Yamcha was right, and so was I.

Sigh.... That plot point is beyond stupid. The infinite energy reactors are just energy storage systems that replenish when energy leaves the body. This right here is diminishing Dr Gero's feat :problem: .

And a violation of manga canon. Tons of characters, including Gero himself, said they had infinite energy.

Zen Buu also said Arale's magic was greater than his, so this would be happening regardless of whether or not her energy was depleted. Not to mention Arale's feats completely dwarf 18's

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

Eh, it's just another way to bring in another Dr. Slump gag, as far as I can tell right now. 18 is just 'wondering' if her power is already running out that fast, there's no guarantee it really is.

Its not the first time this series has violated manga canon. Though ill admit, Raditz making miniature Blutz waves emitters in his eyes was clever.

Er... Arale was hit at full power just a few pages ago.

And that means that can work continuously forever without maintenance and without breaking down? Always working properly? All that DBM is saying is that they need maintenance, otherwise eventually they start to not work properly. In #18's case, her artificial system has worked continuously for decades without any maintenance. Its perfectly logical that eventually it would start to break down.

Like I said, all that DBM is saying is that without proper maintenance their artificial system eventually starts to break down and not work properly. As long as they have proper maintenance there's no reason for them to lose energy. After all, android Yamcha doesn't seem to have any problems with his energy. I don't see how that contradicts anything that was stated in the manga.

Really not seeing where is this so called violation as I've explained.

God, guys it is a gag. 18 didn't lose any power. Arale is simply too strong.
This leads to Arale being unphased, and 18 not believing in that Arale could take that punch, ergo she thinks her energy is depleted.

It's possible that Dr. Gero didn't make any Artificial Humans with "infinite" energy to observe them for 30 years, which is why he didn't know.

Also, this.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

It's not all that contradicting, when you think about it. It's better a explanation than "Oh no! Somehow, Trunks travelling back in time made the present Jinzoningen even stronger than in the future! We would have won otherwise!". That was always a plothole haphazardly explained.
