Me three.
Seriously, it seems like many of yall are still acting like we're still dealing with Spike and that ain't right. Maybe if it was THEM making this game instead of Artdink, we all would've been on the same boat because they should know better than that by now. But this is a new developer we're dealing with, so of course they're gonna screw up. I rather have GOOD gameplay on a developer's first game than having a bunch of characters that nobody gives a shit about, or transformations which would be a waste of time for them to do, since the game goes from Saiyan to Buu.
Heck, Spike didn't include transformations back in their first DBZ game and nobody gave a shit back then cuz the gameplay was fun and refreshing(at the time), so what happened? Why are we being so hard on Artdink?

I'm just curious to see how much new 2-D animation is in this game; my bar for it's set pretty low atm (I'm guessing only the opening is 2-D animated, no cut-scenes or special).
The idea of playing with the color schemes could be fun....but I'd still like to be able to have things like Bad Man Vegeta, or BOG sweatsuit Goku.
We still haven't gotten Bad Man in any DB fighter game yet, have we?

The allure of new animation has really lost its luster to me with the amount of newer stuff we've received over the past few years. It also doesn't help that a lot of what we got feels like it was animated by TAP, or some other outsource shop.
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

If I get more specific; what it was I enjoyed so far were the brief bits of BOG-related new animation, and there was something a little bit different about ssjg Goku in BOZ's animation (different character sheet base?) than with BOG. It's hard to describe further than the shape of his face is different in BOZ's 2-D animation than in BOG.

Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

This is hella sweet.
Tell that to Devil's Corpse. Hes the one who drew it. Though I agree, its a great design and should be used should a 5th Form Freeza ever be introduced into Heroes.

I think it actually looks pretty good. One thing missing is that vanishing dodge from the BT/RB series.

Would someone be so kind to explain more of whats going on in those youtube videos for me? My internet has been completely and utterly garbage for the past few days and I cant even watch videos at 144p, let alone normal quality since they keep freezing. Like are there still a team of 4 characters on the players side for that video?

Seems the majority of the villain fights are fought 4 on 1. Though yes, you still constantly have a team of 4 no matter what.

Is it be on 4v1 for most of the story just unfair on the Villians part. Especially when you have SSJ Goku(And the 3 supporters) vs Freeza. That's just....un fair to Freeza. Also I do like an what if that Freeza will fight 4v4 with all of his forms. How did that work out? Did Freeza have brothers in that What if or.........

I'm sure that that the bosses will be much stronger, to the point that it will be unfair to us.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

And if they're not...? I mean to an average player they could be just average difficulty.

Seems that the team members are useful after. Look at them interrupting Cell's attack that he was gonna do to Vegeta.
And more combos are confirmed. Two examples, Vegeta doing his volley and then cancels into his Final Flash, another where he finishes his basic combo and then uses his Final Flash again.

'Tis might be no good for ps3, but for VITA this looks freaking addicting.
There's room for only one snake, and one big boss.

Graphics look fairly good but the beams are still mediocre. I guess there's no hope for ARTDINK to fix the effect of the beams.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray
