JUMP Legend Biography (JUMP game compilation) for 3DS

Post by Super Sayian Prime » Wed Jul 17, 2013 4:46 am

This is a compilation of a variety of older JUMP based video games. All titles will be presented as they originally were. Here's the announced titles:

Dragon Ball: The Legend of Shenron
Saint Seiya: Gold Legend
Saint Seiya: Gold Legend Finale
Go! Go! Ackman 3
Charge! Men's Private School

More games will be added. All of the current titles are from the Famicom, and Super Famicom.

This should be the site when it opens: http://newgame1.bngames.net
"I like the money it brings in, but Dragon Ball Heroes is the worst. That's actually the real reason I decided to start working on new material. I was afraid Bandai would make something irredeemably stupid like Super Saiyan 4 Broly." - Akira Toriyama, made up interview, 2013.

Yeah, been following the teaser site and some of these other community posts about. Looks like the best "source" so far is 2ch discussion. Since the countdown timer coincides-ish with V-Jump's release on Sunday, I'm assuming we'll see things all neatly tied together sooner than later. Gonna hold off reporting until we can independently confirm a little bit more.

The teaser site has now launched. Clicking the url in the OP will now direct you to http://j-legend.bngames.net

Oh god, I wish I was wrong but this is the terrible Dragon Ball: Le Secret du Dragon (Dragon Ball: The Secret of the Dragon) or in US known as Dragon Power for the NES. Dammit Namco Bandai why would you revive an awful game?!

Why couldn't it be Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure? The game is a million times better and I love everything about it, Dimps nailed it and Namco Bandai just despises the best 2D Dragon Ball game?! Come on NB!

^ I suppose due to the year and Jump Legend stuff.

So disappointed with this but since they're bringing out Adventure Time and Battle of Z (SC2 without Link = Pointless), I guess I can't hate on Namco Bandai too much.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

Because this is a re-release of Famicom and Super Famicom games only.

What I'd like to see is all the other DBZ Famicom and Super Famicom games get re-released n English, especially the RPGs.

What qualifies as a "JUMP" game, anyway? Are any of the other Dragon Ball games on SFC "JUMP" games?

Unfortunately they're not very good neither. Early games of Dragon Ball were pretty crappy. :?

A game based on a property from the popular Weekly Shonen JUMP anthology magazine published by Shueshia.

They have yet to list the entire compilation of games. There very well could be more DBZ games added later. But there's a lot more actually as shown here: http://dbz.superpope.com/dbzgames.html

The Super Butoden trilogy would be a great re-release.

They should have had the English Version "Dragon Power" of the NES Game included in, just for the hilarity
Image
After Goku takes the turtle back to the sea, Goku is rewarded with the flying cloud by KameSennin. Here's what happens next in Dragon Power:

Nora (Bulma): Hey I want one too!

KameSennin: Okay give me your sandwich.

Nora: Hey what do you guys want a sandwich for?

Following that is an animated sequence of KameSennin with sandwiches floating around his head (see the third picture at right). This was an effort to clean up dirty old KameSennin's original request. The sandwich is really a graphic of a pair of panties turned upside down.

It'd be great if they could release the Super Butouden series in Europe/US for the 3DS and Wii U customers through the Virtual Console, I never played the SB games so I'd purchase it in a heartbeat because they look phenomenal and its gameplay too.

There's the PC Emulators but I just don't like emulators.

Dragon Ball Z II: Gekishin Freeza will be the downloadable game. Additionally, a Yu Yu Hakusho Super Famicom title has been added. More titles will be announced. http://www.4gamer.net/games/232/G023255/20130911100/

That has to be the DBZ game with the most anticlimactic ending ever.

Evil Freeza? Holy crap, one of the best DBZ Games ever. And I mean it. The soundtrack and gameplay were addicting. I loved training my characters.
 Now add DBZ Gaiden into that collection

With all of the Shonen Jump fighters that were released, I'm surprised that they haven't announced one for the compilation yet.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

What will they do about the Yamamoto music?

Twiddle their thumbs and hope no Pink Floyd rights holders notice.
