To be fair. Gohan does this all the time in the show.RandomGuy96 wrote:What does Gohan think he's doing? "WAARGH CHAREG HEADFIRST" didn't work last time, what makes him think it's going to work this time?

Didn't Jaco happen in DBM timeline?
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
According to the FAQ, he does consider Jaco DBM canon. Well, I suppose this is going to be difficult for him.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Wow. This is going to be a cluster-fuck for him. I suppose this is the same as the movie. He only take certain elements of a movie or in this case Jaco and change some other stuff.Saiga wrote:According to the FAQ, he does consider Jaco DBM canon. My theories for Gine's name pun:
Gine could be named after the English word of Aubergine, another word for Eggplant. The Japanese name for eggplant is Nasu (茄子), but Aubergine rendered into Japanese could be Aberugine (アベルギネ).
As stated earlier, Gine could be a rearrangement of Negi (葱), which is Japanese for Spring Onion.
Toriyama has a perverted side to him, so my theory is that an additional reason she was named Gine is because the word Gine (ギネ) is the Japanese shorthand term for Gynecological, with “Gyne” referring to the vagina. For example, this Japanese gynecological website. She is the mother of Goku and the one who brings life to the savior of the universe through her “gine.”
kei17 wrote:Extremely unlikely. I'm sure that over 90% of the Japanese don't know the word aubergine, and cutting out a few roman alphabetical letters from such a word and reading it in the romaji way... That's not a pun at all!DerekPadula wrote:Gine could be named after the English word of Aubergine, another word for Eggplant. As for *aberugine, such a word doesn't exist.
That is undoubtedly the only logical explanation. As stated earlier, Gine could be a rearrangement of Negi (葱), which is Japanese for Spring Onion.
Very unlikely. That "gine" is a buzzword used among health professionals which had been totally unknown to common people until that drama, which wasn't a hit. Also, I doubt that Toriyama is educated enough to know the etymology of gynecological. Anyway, from what I know, γυνή doesn't even mean vagina.Toriyama has a perverted side to him, so my theory is that an additional reason she was named Gine is because the word Gine (ギネ) is the Japanese shorthand term for Gynecological, with “Gyne” referring to the vagina. What is Gine? What's it have to do with DBM?

Hey how often does Salgir post about DBM on the website? Just curious to see how he handle the Gine situation. I predict he might ignore it as just change some stuff in Jaco. Similar to what he does with the movies.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse

I think I know how will this turn out.Gohan and Krillin tell him that Nail killed Dodoria and Zarbon wants to meet him and when he fights Nail,he turns into his monster form.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
While i find this special to be one of better ones, i still don`t like Gohan in this universe, he wasn`t that bloodlust, and it`s like he really lose his ability to sense energy, Dodoria was killed with single blow, by guy that was about twice his strength!

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I'd say they have a chance if they are smart about this and don't let Zarbon transform... but being smart would mean using Taiyouken and then the Kienzan. But I digress. If they had the ability beat Ginyu in Goku's body, they can win against Zarbon, just with a bit more difficulty since Kuririn lacks the Grand Elder's unlock. So, either they have a tight battle, or Nail swoops in and saves the day again.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
They only got that level of power after waiting a really long time. Gohan just got the power-up, he's still much weaker than Cui to say nothing of Zarbon.TheOverlyMadHatter wrote:I'd say they have a chance if they are smart about this and don't let Zarbon transform... but being smart would mean using Taiyouken and then the Kienzan. Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.
