...Ehh?

Not that I'm opposed to the alternate universe Yamcha and #18 ending up together - 18 does seem to have a soft spot for kindness - but...I dunno about Old Kai being a matchmaker. It's a cute comic though.

The hell happened to the Portuguese version? It's almost like we're back to the beggining of the translation, it looks like whoever did it used Google Translate O.o

Wasn't one of you guys a translator? (rereboy, Puto or DNA, I'm not sure)

That is not an official translation. Sometimes we miss the mini comics because their release schedule is sporadic. I'll provide an official translation and wait for them to replace it.

Edit: done.

I'm by no means related to the Portuguese part of DBM (my Portuguese is limited to understanding the basics of any given text but without any stylistic consideration) but I think that any problems there were with it might somehow connected to the fact that this minicomic started of in Brazilian Portuguese - here's the original version submitted by Menkyon on DA:

You know, I kind of like Old Kai as a matchmaker! I can picture it, him being a perverted old man...but still ultimately a good guy.

EDIT: Also, about that badly translated Portugese strip. Is it better or worse than this?

Cute comic. I was wondering if it would end with a joke or something like the previous mini-comics, but I'm fine with this. This actually adds more to the DBM universe in one page than most special chapters do in 10+ pages.

Isn't Cyborg Yamcha married to Bulma?

Cyborg Yamcha and 18 disgust me!

Maybe they're no longer together, which seems very plausible given their history.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.

Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I was just pointing out that it wouldn't matter if he's already in a relationship, because it didn't stop him in the series, when someone wondered why he was doing this when apparently married to Bulma.

Could you not do the character bashing in this topic? I get you don't like him already.

It might just be me, but the first panel looks hilarious with the way Gohan's lying on the ground and how it looks like everyone's just having a casual conversation.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Speaking of which. Doesn't Gohan only knew Krillin for 1 month during Namek? I wonder how are they best friends(Well one of them) already.

You can bond pretty fast with people in intense situations. Especially life or death ones.

How was it intense? They didn't know that Freeza(And gang) and Vegeta was going to be there. They was just going to be
"Hey can we use your balls to wish back our pals"
"Ok Thank you"
