Battle Stadium D.O.N. Audio hacking?

Post by El Diabeetus » Sat Feb 08, 2014 12:46 am

Is it possible to change it? I know threads like this have popped up for it for Sparking! Meteor. But, I was hoping if it is somehow possible. To replace the announcer voice (has this weird, trying to be Western/American sound to it, but ot doesn't come off that way) and change the music to BGM from the three respective series. If it's not possible, that's fine. Overall game is fun as hell (just got it today), would be fun to mess around with that stuff (if possible). If this is more meant for Fan Created Works, sorry for posting it here if that's the case.

Also minor graphic hacking since I would like to change the FUNimation spelling of Freeza back to proper Freeza.

Which version is it? NGC or PS2?

The guys at GBATemp are pretty useful for stuff about Nintendo hacks so if you got the NGC edition they could help you out, I guess, plus the game runs smoothly off an SD Card (in case you'd want to not use the disc of the game).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

I have the PS2 version, I unfortunately do not have a Gamecube anymore. I remember there being a program that lets you deal with PS2 ISO editing. But, that was on an old computer, so don't know/remember what it was.

Managed to get it working with DKZ Studio. So far, I've only been able to find the files for a majority of the character's lines. But, the BGM itself isn't there (which is odd since the section I found it in was called BGM) and character's attack and character select quotes aren't included with it. Which is odd. But, it works at least. I managed to make Goku have a line in English and have edited the announcer voice pretty easily.

Yeah! Been making decent progress. Currently have Goku, Vegeta, Freeza, Gaara, Cell and Piccolo (credit to xXInfinite026Xx for dubbing these two), well as much as I can with what's able to be replaced right now. Gohan and Naruto are about to be dubbed soon. Going to begin casting the rest of the characters pretty soon. So right now, Buu, Trunks, Chopper, Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, Zoro, Kakashi, Lee, Sakura and Sasuke still need to be cast. Still hoping to find the rest of the voice/BGM files. Managed to get most of the Dragon Ball dialouge adapted, but I'm not totally fluent, so yeah, haha. So the lines may not be 100% accurate. Although, oddly I got Goku translated pretty easily, which I find funny since he speaks the most out there out of all the characters in the game.

Don't see why it's a problem. Don't currently have a PS3, and it's a fun little project to dub the game.
