First off the acting would be worse than the Funi dub, I've watched some 4kids dubs and with the exception of maybe Pokemon they all have a flat 1D delivery that makes the later portions of Funi's dub look like their Kai dub. The only non 4Kids dub from the early 2000's I can think of that was worse was Beyblade.
The casting might have actually been pretty good, to 4Kids credit they were actually good at picking voices, it was directing said voices was where they had trouble. I'm still hoping for an accurate well directed redub of Yu Gi Oh that uses the old 4Kids voices.
Expect a few name changes.
The replacement score might have been really good in some places if it were done by the guy who did the score for Yu Gi Oh.

Violence attracts kids, otherwise we wouldn't see kids playing COD, GTA etc.
Honestly they waste so much money and time editing the footage that they must completely insane.
It's less to do with attracting attention of kids and more to do with not attracting attention from over protective parents. a lot of parents have some stupid belief that kids are over sensitive angels that can't handle more than the most G rated of content and anything above that will traumatize and corrupt them. The other day I was reading about how they didn't show Katy Perry on Seasame Street because parents complained you could see her cleavage even though most kids watching would be like 2-3 year old and therefore wouldn't even notice and the ones that were old enough would probably be like "ha you can see her boobs."
