Dragon Ball Episode 52 Cel damage

Post by thomas1up » Sat May 31, 2014 8:06 am

Hey I was watching episode 52 of Dragon Ball and I noticed while watching it there was a tear at the bottom.

It got pretty annoying so I just decided to do a quick crop, since all the footage under that tear was lost anyway I wasn't really loosing anything.

Before
After
At first I thought it was just a problem with the source I was watching, however I noticed it was the same on a different source.

So I'm wondering, is it like this on an actual Dragon Box? Or what about Blue Bricks and Madman sets? I'm curious because compared to other cel damage in the series this is really major.

Yeah, I can't find any non-filtered Dragon Box stuff :(

If anyone could add a true Dragon Box shot that'd be nice.

For some reason, on DB episode 52 on the DBox, the top of the next frame is constantly present at the bottom of each frame. So, this is not a "cel damage".

Oh, I always thought it was a rip in the cel or something, kinda weird how this happened though.
