Don't know what all the complaining about Freeza is. I think he looks really cool! Very sleek, like his previous form, while also feeling very powerful looking, with those six-pack abs and what look like elbow spikes and everything. Even greater than Cooler does in fact!

Anyway, I'm surprised to see Ghost Freeza transform before U8 Freeza. Now if U8 Freeza does it it won't be quite as surprising, although this might be used to try and establish Freeza as a threat to Goku. Now, obviously the Freeza we know would be too much for base Goku but one-shot material for Super Saiyan Goku, making the fight fairly boring. So I've been thinking for a while that the extra form is going to give a massive power boost, and that base Cooler in DBM will be portrayed as being fairly weak without the form, only stronger than Freeza while transformed.

If Super Freeza could challenge post-Buu SS Goku while Cooler was Trunks arc SS Goku level at best... why would Raichi even bother summoning him? What would Cooler be worth in a team-up?

Realistically nothing but with Kuririn putting up a resistance against Hirudegarn and SS Bardock doing better when Cold powered up meant I wasn't going to question that.

I also thought of this before this fight happened. And... I just don't see the point of matching up Freeza against Goku if he's not any better than 17. Except maybe to show "Goku still hasn't surpassed 100% Freeza in base".

Different Hirudegarn from the movie and different Kuririn from the manga. And I disagree that Bardock fared better against powered up Cold than agaisnt non-powered up Cold but I think I already commented on that at the time (for example, Bardock was only able to actually hurt non-powered Cold, he was only able to make powered up Cold flinch and let go of him).

Not disagreeing with you there. I guess I owe it to Asura's art that I still have a interest in this anymore. After Gogeta Jr. left and the artistic quality dropped (unless it was Charlotte drawing) the series seemed to go downhill in a lot of things, including the story. Hopefully Asura becomes the fulltime artist and we can see the story pick itself up.

I actually think Asura's current art is better than Gogeta Jr.'s later work. Gogeta Jr. was always great but he definitely streamlined and simplified everything over the course of the comic. An ideal scenario would be Gogeta Jr. returns and he and Asura split the work between them so nobody suffers burnout. Beta is also very good and I wouldn't mind seeing more of her. Whatever is necessary to keep the artists happy enough so they don't drop out or are forced to downgrade their efforts to meet deadlines.

And something I'll say to Salagir's credit, there have been significantly fewer grammatical errors lately.

Freeza & Coola are as strong they were in the manga/anime & movie respectively, meaning that Final Form Coola is stronger than Full Power Freeza. However, Raichi's Ghost Warriors are stronger than the real ones, and that Freeza can transform as well, so we can't know.
