DB Xenoverse = Dragon Ball Online For Consoles?

This is something I've been wondering since the release of DB Xenoverse & the "mystery character" that has been shown in some scans. But since the cancellation of DBO, I've always had a feeling there was a deeper meaning behind it. As if Namco Bandai was actually considering on doing something different with the DBO franchise so that all regions could play it. Another thing that caught my eye was the Future Trunks design in Xenoverse, which is exactly the same as the Future Trunks in DBO.

Not to mention that in DBO, Future Trunks would transport you to any time period in the past were major events took place. In Xenoverse, we see this "mystery character" showing up during the battle against Goku & Vegeta after being sent by Future Trunks. I think this "mystery character" is an example of what you can create in the online realm and these "sent back in time" stages are actually missions.

This could be sort of like DCUO (DC Universe Online) - What do you all think?

Trust me, SSDBZGod, I really wish this was the case. DBO with a stateside release would be a dream. Unfortunately, game play footage has already been released, and while we don't know how the story mode style plays into it, we do know that this is a fighting game and not an MMO.

Never caught interest on Online but that Trunks' look just looks unpleasant and geeky-ish, whereas the Z-Trunks had a stylish design which imo was far better than this one, which resembles me GT's Trunks. Nevertheless, I'm glad Dimps is back!

I for one actually like the "new" Future Trunks Design teken from DBO although I'm at a loss as to why they chose to use it?

Will it be the tree Kaiju, which are born the Kaioh and Kaioh Shin? The setting, the sky, the planets, everything reminds us of Kaioh Shin Kai (the World of Kaioh Shin). And Future Trunks related to high divinities. Is the plot of BOD repeat itself? Will we see a New Time Patrol faces the Dark Eye Miira and Towa? Or show us new villains to beat?


For now this is all we have, we will be looking forward to new information from Namco Bandai will offer us.
